I'd be a lot more confident if we had Mings for this. We need to cut-down on the corners and free-kicks we concede as they have big fuckers at the back.

I’m curious about Gauchi - from what I’ve seen, he looks like an Emi Mk2

At this age Emi MkI was pisisng about at Reading on loan or something. Gauchi has some of the traits of Emi in terms of box presence and shot stopping from his limited experience in Australia. He looks decent. Unless you are taking the opinion of Pablo who is convinced this is the worst signing in the history of the club.

I think at some point today, we'll all be saying that.

There isn’t some conspiracy around the “big 6” it’s just a term that’s understood and it relates to the teams who in general have been in the top 6 places over the last decade. Used to be “big 4”, and I think it’ll become increasingly irrelevant over time. But it’s not some indicator of Sky wanting Villa to be kept out, it’s just easier from a marketing pov to talk in terms like this. If Villa sustain our levels for a period we’ll be talked about as well - Sky just want ratings, that’s what matters to them.

As per usual Sky might get round to us once they've stopped chatting about Liverpool v Spurs.

I don't think Sky fully understand how big Villa are.  The big 6 is as much about selling their wares around the world and those 'big 6' having fans all over the world.  They make the mistake, but are likely to find out if we make the top 4, just how big Aston Villa really is.

Well they’ll definitely score today. Hopefully we’ll score more.
