TBF, the difference between this match and Chelsea's match on Tuesday was we scored the second 10 minutes earlier. They had quite a few chances in that match as well.

Great first half very professional - haven’t been at our best but been in control in the most part without possession, and look like well score on pretty much every break.

Lucky with there heater that hit the post.  Rogers seems to be an absolute steal - great recruitment.

Well done cash I find him really likeable but a bit limited but this has been his best half.

Just make sure we don’t have a 15 mins off after half time and we should be good.

We haven't played well but are two up. Not bad. I've been critical of him recently but Torres has been very good so far as has Cash. McGinn less so.

Don't concede in the first 10 minutes of the second half and I think we'll be fine here.

With some better possession we can open these up .  They are still dangerous though

Good to go in two up but we need more of the ball in the second half.

Apropos of nothing, signed-in-January-from-Middlesbrough has now scored as many league goals this season than  Doku, Grealish, Szobozslai and is only one behind Gabriel Jesus, De Bruyne, Maddison, Paqueta...

What a great finish from Rodgers that was. Have we ever signed someone from the lower leagues that has improved so much in six weeks?

He plays now like he's been in the premier league for the duration Luiz and SJM have.

Quite an average performance really. Quick start and then we just sit back and give Chelsea the initiative so that second goal is a big moment for this game.

Platt - similar 3 month time frame

What did ever do.

They created loads in the 2 games we won at Stamford Bridge since 2023. Loads v Arsenal too.

They concede quality chances too which is their problem. Anyone good can do that to them.

Need to come out alert and focused 2nd half , don't give them a sniff . Next goal is enormous .

Rogers making the 2026 World cup squad probably isn't the worst bet then!

Chelsea thought they were in the game. They weren't. They were being toyed with. Clinical performance from Villa.

I hope I don't regret saying that.
