I know we flopped against them in the cup but our away game against them earlier in the season was tough too. Arguably their red card is what allowed us to win it eventually.

Yep we have been 2nd best in both games. Only game i would say we matched them was 1st cup game. Definitely be great of we tyrn up foe this one as i think we can blow them away if we play as we know we can
We really weren’t second best when we beat them 1-0.

They have not kept a clean sheet in their last 13 away games.

Can’t see there being a reaction, it’s not like Pochetino will be there past the end of May.

72 hours ago people were shitting themselves that Bournemouth were headed to town. Keep Calm and Trust Emery.

Just go for the throat right from the start and we will win the match. Don’t need too much of us playing around at the back, go for it and get our goal difference up.

Chelsea are a group of individual egos and attitudes.
There appears to be no ‘team’ there whatsoever.

If we can get the first goal, I think we could win comfortably.

The only players there worth their salt are Palmer and I quite like Gallagher. He deserves better than Chelsea.

They're selling Gallagher in the summer, aren't they? So he probably will do better for himself next season.

Their players would also have to give a shit in order for there to be a reaction, and there’s little evidence that they do (except about their bank balances.)

Anybody think that Chelsea have wrote this one off and fancy their chances more against us Saturday? Maybe that explains Palmers omission….

But this is how we play, we don't play it around at the back for 'fun'.  It has a purpose, it moves their players around and allows to look for and find gaps to pass into.  It might Unai has a plan to mix it up a bit, like we did to beat Newcastle last year, or with the earlier and longer balls to Zaniolo against Arsenal, but being patient and moving it around at the back is how we play, we "need" as much of it as Unai deems appropriate.  And in most cases that's "quite a lot". :-)

Indeed, playing that way is why we don't look absolutely shagged at this stage of the season.

I think Chelsea will beat us. Not for any logical reason. Just because being a Villa fan means I have a pathological aversion to optimism. ON the bright side you can get 10-1 on the double, Chelsea to win and Spurs to win. Get a tenner on it.
