Lille are set up very well. If I were looking for a manager about now, I'd be taking a close interest in Fonseca.

He's already turned us down once. West Ham, Man U or Everton would be an improvement for them. He plays Unai tactics but on the front foot, like us last year.

After the Lord Mayors Show or:

With a busy schedule Unai only wants us to play play in fifth gear for 45 minutes each match. Contain and then blast.

Expecting a much better second half, Baily on after 58 minutes and Villa to go through.

Story so far. Douglas Luiz awful. Matty Cash devoid of confidence. Emi actually looked rattled for once. Several of ours including Diaby totally anonymous. On the plus side. They're playing at their maximum we're running on two cylinders. Sort out the fucking set pieces .
A good sum up, have to add Zaniolo s predictable yellow - this time effectively stopping a promising move forward from us.

This is terrible
What is the point of being in a competition if you show no ambition to go forward ?
This fucking about at the back and wasting time sends me crazy.

Using Martinez as a play maker is revolutionary.

Im gonna slag off Diaby so that he scores.

Loads of us having been doing that for months, to no avail.

I slagged him off against wolves and he scored.

Im sorry but thw hell are these tactics? Its setup not to score a goal it seems ?

Woeful stuff

The obvious flaw with setting up for a 0 0, is it only works if you dont concede!

An awful performance so far. Reeks of complacency.

Slow start, but thought we improved slightly as it went on. The ref seems very keen to book our players so need to just watch that.

It's not wasting time.  They are trying to beat the press and to do that they have to let the press happen.

We've been too slow getting the ball forward at times once we've done so though.

Something needs to change after half time. But dare I whisper  they started to look leggy after 35 mins.

They have been doing a lot of chasing especially their forwards and midfield. Their manager said they plan to start fast and intense. We look like we are starting to play a bit in the last 5-10 mins. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, it did look a bit like that. I wonder if Emery's instructions were to keep it slow and let them chase it first half.

The only good thing is they are not that much less crappy.    I think we will score.

Glad Emi got booked, sick of his shit at restarts, slowing everything down.

Really? I think it's a disaster waiting to happen.

Ref lost it there, happens a lot in European football it seems. 2 bookings each means the tightrope being walked by both teams.

An awful first half. We are going to lose this if we keep playing like this second half.
