Something needs to change after half time. But dare I whisper  they started to look leggy after 35 mins.
They have been doing a lot of chasing especially their forwards and midfield. Their manager said they plan to start fast and intense. We look like we are starting to play a bit in the last 5-10 mins. Fingers crossed.

Cash and Diaby utter waste of time. Cash turns backwards at the first sign of a player in front of him. Diaby has no first touch. Luiz has been anonymous and has a similar first touch as Diaby. It’s hard to know how good they are as they haven’t had to be.

Story so far. Douglas Luiz awful. Matty Cash devoid of confidence. Emi actually looked rattled for once. Several of ours including Diaby totally anonymous. On the plus side. They're playing at their maximum we're running on two cylinders. Sort out the fucking set pieces .

They won't be that shit 2nd half.

He's getting his eyebrows done at half time?

on the plus side, it is almost impossible for us to play worse in the second half?

Awful from us, the ref is a right twat. Looks like he's compiling a show reel for himself.

Cash especially bad, I'd be getting Carlos and bailey on asap

We weren't playing with this slow, slow pace earlier in the campaign when we were nailing teams with 4s and 5s.

It's a consequence of the games we've had and the games we've got coming up.

We will have a purple patch in the second half at some point (most likely when Bailey comes on). Just need to cash in.

Martínez  Konsa and Cash must have had half the game's possession between the three of them. Awful stuff, like the three fucking stooges failing miserably to beat the press. Glad Emi got booked, sick of his shit at restarts, slowing everything down.

First time I've seen Emery rattled on the touchline too.

We need to go long occasionally if our only plan is to play out from the back cos it's not working. We have the attacking players to hurt them so give them the fucking ball.

Im gonna slag off Diaby so that he scores.

Loads of us having been doing that for months, to no avail.

The one good thing about that half is that it's over.

For a 50 million plus player, at times Diabys touch and passing is shockingly bad. He's clearly got a lot of ability but he's shown it far too infrequently

Gonna be a great half time analysis so much to go through for a villa point of view

it's 2-2 so still up for grabs. part of the fun of europe is going to the partisan stadiums suffering for long periods then doing a bit of smash and grab. like madrid last night

Ponderous, negative, boring shit. No pressing at all.

What is wrong with our midfield, absolute garbage ?
