I have not received my e-ticket either for this game yet. Have emailed AVFC (see reply #41 above) to ask when the e-tickets are being sent out. With it being the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, hoping for a reply tomorrow (Tuesday). Hopefully get the ticket tomorrow too.

Okay, thanks!

It’s maddening, really. It would be easy enough to put something up saying when they were going to send them, but they like to keep us in the dark!

Aston Villa's last thirteen Premier League results away against Manchester City:

❌ Man City 1-0 Villa
❌ Man City 2-0 Villa
❌ Man City 3-1 Villa
❌ Man City 4-0 Villa
❌ Man City 4-1 Villa
❌ Man City 5-0 Villa
❌ Man City 4-0 Villa
❌ Man City 3-2 Villa
❌ Man City 4-0 Villa
❌ Man City 3-0 Villa
❌ Man City 2-0 Villa
❌ Man City 3-2 Villa
❌ Man City 3-1 Villa

41-7 aggregate score 💀

There is the pre match motivation for team.
Please ?
Pretty please ??

We were rubbish against them most seasons even before they won the lottery.

They constantly beat us when Stuart Pearce was manager and Vassell scored in four straight games against us.

Can also remember Distin running the full length of the pitch and slotting one in.

Could be wrong but I think they beat us home and away in 95/96 aswell?

Erased all them . Only remember the 4-1 Gabby game , the Darren Bent game and that's about it . That game in the 80's pissing down , grand national day , David White scored a few , 5-0 maybe 5-1 .

That was the perfect hat trick. Right foot, left foot and close range header and made a complete mug of Micah Richards when he was actually rated as a defender.

I liked that Gabby immensely. Shame what he eventually became.

I don't miss many games but I'm at a gig in the Barbican (it's great man) on Weds and can't say I'm conflicted. Not having the likes of McGinn and Kamara for games like this really hits home, never mind the other injuries.

I'll be optimistic and go for a draw, given the circumstances, it would be a great result.

1-1

Kinkladze or whatever his name is did us up there in the 95/96 season. Pissed it down too.

Does his old man still go to Villa Park?

I believe so, heard he was in one of the Trinity corporate boxes for the Forest game.
He goes if it don't clash with his C115y schedule .

Heaven forfend that his loyalty should be to his son rather than a football club.

On the flipside of our record there, Man City are still winless against the rest of the Premier League's top five this season.

To re-flip it, our win against them in early December is the last time they lost in any competition.

(so obviously they're due another one)

Our record up there is abysmal, we don't just lose we routinely ship at least 3 goals.

I read an article suggesting that Citeh are not as strong as they were. That they have not replaced the impact that Gundogan and Marez had. The attacking stats do not compare to last season.
Arse did a number on them through organisation and dogged defence, so I expect Villa to try to do the same. If Carlos can keep Haaland quiet, you never know.
First goal crucial as ever. If they score early on then I fear the worst.

I've had my digital ticket now, about 20 minutes ago.

You can all rest easy once more, knowing that everything is alright for me!  8)
