Man this really has been a crappy window. How have we let geertruida slip through our fingers. Massively  disappointing

Like risso said earlier 4/10 for me. The club will try spin it that we have depth and its been a good window. I beg to differ if this is the squad going into the season.

Best summary I’ve seen. Amazing how gullible some are!

Who’s gullible and why?

Think 1 or 2 loans will come in - but 100% are hands have been tied by FFP type rules.

Bearing in mind we weren’t actively looking to sell Diaby I’m pretty staggered that we have bought no one to replace him. I like Philogene, but we’re one injury to Bailey away from a guy who had a promising season in the Championship being a regular starter in the Champions League. Feels like a gap to me.

Honestly i would have rather kept diabs if this was the squad we were going with. Id rather have sold duran or tielsman than him tbh.

I think we could be in serious trouble if bailey gets injured. We could be in even more serious trouble if ollie gets injured

I feel like from a business point of view it's probably been a good window, but looking at the squad itself it's hard to say. We were extremely unlucky with injuries last season so maybe that's influencing opinions, but we'll have to be extremely lucky with injuries this season, I think.

I don’t think it is hard to say. We are weaker or at least no stronger. Onana and Maatsen and that’s it.

Well selling Tielemans or Duran would be equally nuts, but I don’t get selling Diaby without it opening the door to bring in some more quality.

We always seem to be just missing one or two players that would make the difference.

Yep remember Muzzy Izzett.  Remember Robbie Keane.

and all the underwhelming signings from England with the exception of the two Juventus cast offs.

Hard to explain what Monchi has contributed so far other than Monaco selfies!

Maybe you didn’t see Damian’s interview on talksport. They are fighting two sets of rules.  pSR domestically and SCR with uefa.  Diaby they had a very decent offer and him being sold allowed them to comply with the latter.

I think both players are easier to replace- duran especially.

Diaby shouldnt have been sold unless a replacement was identified. We could have a serious issue next season if we dont get CL as our better players may want to go to a CL club if a offer is made.

I think we have missed a trick here we want to stay in CL but i think its extremely difficult  with this current squad

By the end of this window I’m pretty sure we will have spent everything the two sets of rules allow us to. Anyone who wants us to spend more, whether they know it or not, wants a points deduction/fine/transfer ban.

I dont see how we have sold so many players and made quite alot of profit. Add the betano and adidas money thats quite a healthy position to be in i think

I’m not too sure what else we could do and why people are getting there nickers in a twist when our hands are tied.

We’ve actually done well bringing in money and balancing the books, although some think Monchi is at fault.

It’s shit that we’re finally in the Champions League, nearly twenty years after our last attempt at reaching it and now there are extremely strict rules. However we reached that status because of our manager and how he gets us playing on the back of a season where we had two players ruled out for year long injuries as well as other major issues as the season went on.

Its not a great window but we’re still far stronger than I have ever seen us.

Im sorry ian but i disagree on your last point. I feel we were stronger last season than this. We have only really added maatsen and onana to improve the first 11. I dont think those two will massively improve us from last year sadly.

Barkely and JPB are squad players. Enzo and illing jr been loaned out (mistake i feel as when we pick up injuries we have minimal options)

We havent utilised the loan market at all either if we cant spend due to FFP
