What cover do we have at left centre back for Pau Torres in case he gets injured? Tyrone is some weeks off returning and being match fit.

He's right-footed and may well leave by Friday's deadline. Last season we signed Lenglet as LCB cover. Oh, and don't forget rotation will be needed with Champions League football.

All true, but also true that he’s played his best football at LCB.

Yup. When we signed him all the talk was how he was obviously replacing Mings, given where he played for Sevilla.

The worst part about the days leading up to the end of the transfer window is just how many “ITKs” magically emerge on social media.

The problem with rumours and random speculation about bad injuries at Villa
Is it often turns out to be bad injuries at Villa

Yep. If it's a link to signing somebody like Felix, it nearly always turns out to be bollocks. If it's a rumour about a player being out for months, it's always absolutely on the money.

I believe Mario Hermoso, who we were linked with when his contract was running down at Atletico, is still available.

Apparently, DCL from Everton is linked accordingly to a few ACLs.

That might help to fill our injury quota.

Las Palmas have made contact over a potential loan move for Leander Dendoncker — wages are currently presenting a stumbling block.

Calvert Lewin with any kind of fitness reliability is a really good option as a back up to Ollie. If DCL was reliably healthy he likely wouldn't be available as back up player

A few links to Raphinha at Barca who they were looking to get rid of pre-season but he's had a great start so they may not be see keen now.
