I'm not sure he'd lower himself to our level anyway. He's probably expecting Yanited to come in for him.

90 mins website has Aston Villa number 1 fit for Sterling from 5 clubs maybe they ITK on this ?

“Having missed on signing Joao Felix (to Chelsea, no less), Aston Villa could consider signing Sterling to fill the void on the right of their attack.

And, at this point in his career, it seems like a pretty perfect move for Sterling if concrete talks commence between the clubs.

90min understands Villa have held internal discussions about Sterling, though a deal has not advanced just yet.

The opportunity to join a UEFA Champions League club where he'd be treated like a star player would certainly be hard to turn down

Fit? 8/10”

It’s now being reported by the Mirror Sterling has been offered to Villa.

Get him in. You can't replace Diaby with just Philogene.

IF we were to sign Sterling, where would he play? Who would we drop? SMH...

Just reading back and he’s been mentioned already but I’ve listened to a few podcasts today and it seems Chiesa is not wanted at Juventus and is available for £15m. Yes he’s had his injuries but that’s cheap, not sure on wages but he can play across the front and would be more of a like for like replacement for Diaby.

He would play instead of Bailey or as well as Bailey. Like Diaby did last year.

When you look at first team barring onana and  maatsen its not much stronger at all than last year.

Illing jr being loaned out. Barkley and enzo are backup players. JPB is also a rotation player.

This does concern me tbh i know we have JJ and buendia who we didnt have last year but i still am abit concerned we havent actually strengthed from last year esp when you see how competitive it will be this year in the league and how tough the CL will be.

He looked shot at the Euros but Italia were shite generally.

I know he’s struggled since the covid euros but he’s got a high ceiling.

Unless Duran were off, I can't see how that would make any sense.

Failed medical at Chelsea but now comes to us I don’t think he failed any medical just didn’t fancy going to Chelsea! Excellent news as he added to the Spain conversation after losing Moreno!
He’s 6’4 and has been described by The Athletic as a "modern No 9" who is a "tall, quick, and physically imposing" centre-forward. He uses his sizeable frame to hold play up effectively and involve others. He has the pace, movement and anticipation to run in behind, he can dribble and create, and he can finish with both feet as well as his head
