It makes zero sense for him as a player.

Whisper it quietly, but I would take Mudryk on a 12 month loan to buy though. There's a player in there.

According to reports, Atleti "offered" Felix to Chelsea which, to my mind, at least,  suggests if there were any discussions with Villa, they were not at an advanced or serious stage.  What will be , will be.

If Carlos goes I'd be looking  at Mats Hummels on a free, as a replacement. Strong, good on the ball and champions league experience. He'd do a job for sure. you don't want any bjorn Angels type punts in this crucial window.

Not sure an aging Hummels in a high line is a good plan…

Doing a great job of hiding his ability 😂

I am puzzled why Chelsea want or need Felix. Are they playing top trumps?

I don't know if Felix was ever a runner but it does feel like we have gone very cold. We tend to do a pile of business early and suddenly and then it all goes quiet.

We have a good squad but for a champions league campaign I feel we are lacking a quality player or two. I hope we have something in the works.

There isn't, he's absolute rubbish.

Is Dougie Louise playing for Juve in that game? Maybe he can sell Felix to us at full-time as a gesture of goodwill.

He was the one who was two seconds too late to stop the goal. (TBF he appeared to be playing further forward).

How much are Chelsea willing to pay us to take him on loan?

So Chelsea are desperate to get rid of Gallagher, their best player last season, to the
point they will now take Felix, who seemingly only wants Barca, and didn't set Chelsea alight last time. It's very very odd.

Villa should go get Baena, Veiga from Saudi to replace Doug and this Dutch lad.

Gallagher being better than Palmer is quite the take.

If Felix goes to Chelsea I would take Madueke off their hands, or that Omari Kellyman  ;)

Ironically Chukwemeka would be good in the 10 role. I like Madueke as well, but Illing Jnr fills that role surely.

I do wonder if it’s even Felix’s choice where he plays at this point. He seems to be owned by Mendes.

Nonsense.

Blimey a bit defensive there about Mendes. It was said a little tongue in cheek. But as has been seen with Wolves he has immense influence over where his players end up. I’m sure he looks after his clients but Mendes has done very, very well out of managing where they play and the contracts they agree to. I don’t know for sure if that’s the case here but Felix, despite all the talent in the world, doesn’t seem to be able settle anywhere since he burst onto the scene at Benfica.

Is this also a little tongue in cheek or more nonsense?

Unless you are Jorge Mendes it’s not nonsense. It is just a theory or suggestion in topic specifically about rumours and speculation. It’s nonsense if you take such a definitive position on something you cannot actually know. It’s tongue in cheek because I am sure Joao Felix isn’t in a cage doing as he’s told. I merely offered that Mendes has great influence over his clients futures. Which he has and does. It doesn’t mean that Felix doesn’t have and opinion or indeed the final say.
