The vast majority of defenders, and especially centre backs, aren't starting games age 19.

Aston Villa are keeping a close eye on the situation of Jack Grealish at Manchester City and are considering a swoop for their former player, TEAMtalk can exclusively reveal.

We understand Villa are keen to re-sign their former winger on a season-long loan, with an obligation to buy the midfielder to be attached to the deal.

https://www.teamtalk.com/aston-villa/line-up-shock-loan-to-buy-move-aston-villa-for-heartbroken-man-city-star

It's from Team Talk, so it's not going to happen....however
Do Team Talk have any hit rate success? Any level of ITK or how reliable are their exclusives .
Grealish scored yesterday. Its a big season for him and he'll get to start the season due to players coming back late and not being match ready but I can't help thinking he wont be a first choice .
I don't know if he would be here and he wouldn't be in the conversation between him, Felix and Eze if he wasn't Villa.
I could see he or Kalvin Phillips missed in the penalty shoot out yesterday v Barcelona arrive for experience.

Be very interesting to see what further players come on now to Villa
I hope to be pleasantly surprised upon my return!
I'm off!

Thanks for the rumour though it an interesting one
Enjoy your summer before season starts!

Romano saying we're not after Beier and that Felix remains main target

A report this morning in one of the sports dailies claim we're pulling out and will focus on other targets. Could be bullshit just to sell a few more copies as Benfica still want him. I guess we'll soon find out. Felix says he wants everything sorted out by Sunday when Madrid travel to Asia.

Strikes me that we are in a stalemate until we sell. Who is sold out of Duran, Cash and Carlos will dictate the next moves.

Sensible because without sales the squad is pretty packed right now.

I'm suspicious of Feeney being one of those signings were he won't make the grade and he was merely a good physical size and player through his age groups.

He's a 19 year old centre half and always looked very decent to me. Have you watched him play?

And with our high line & the way that Emery plays out from the back, it usually takes three or four games for the full internationals to settle.

Its certainly not fair to state that he is a shit-show busted flush based on one shit-show performance...

Footy you are entitled to your opinion but I don’t give a shit what you think about Feeney, as I said it’s all about what Unai thinks and if he thinks he’s ready than that’s good enough for me

The link I saw to Carlos going to Seville was bizarre. Had it as a free with us paying all his wage. - not a chance that happens.

Who's saying it would? That's what they paid for him some time ago and his stock isn't there anymore. I think they're looking for more like 51m Euro's.

TransferMarkt has him valued at 30m euros.. I have no idea how Atletico plan on bringing this saga to an end. They don't want any more loan moves and apparently Felix wants it figured out by Saturday.
