Doku was our target above Diaby last summer? God, Moussa drove me mad enough, Jeremy is even more frustrating. Dodging these high-end flaky wingers is tricky business.

I dont know anything about Bier other than Max Bier is a great name.

It wouldn't be long before some pearl clutcher would say he has to go, as he's encouraging excessive alcohol consumption.

We'll give him the jersey number 00 to get around that.

I cannot see us bagging Williams.

Indeed.

Our chances last summer were slim, this summer? Nil.

It would be the coup to end all coups if we could get him, but it's simply a pipe dream. We're probably only being kept involved to keep the price 'honest'.

He looks a fantastic player, I've seen a fair few people comparing him to Isak.

He isn't as tall as Isak but he is a lot faster than him.

He looks a fantastic prospect.

Unfortunately I think we have missed out on Williams simply because him and Jamal seem to have become brothers from different mothers during Euro 2024. But I would be happier with Williams being Diaby's replacement if it did occur.

Not really as I never commented on the players name being great at the same time.

Wasn't there a Heavyweight Champion boxer called Max Baer? In the film 'The Cinderella Man'.

Yes, lost to Joe Louis twice. Niche reference.

Percy (from the Torygraph, not of H&V parish) says Onana is done and will be completed this weekend.
