Any truth in twitter theory that we are buying Vasco and selling Coutinho to them? Brilliant if we can get away with it.

I saw the Coutinho to Vasco rumour a few weeks ago. Didn't see anything about us buying them too!

There were a few tweets about V Sports buying them it in the middle of the night (I work nights) but for some reason latest tweets on the AVFC hashtag are not loading for me now, so I can’t find them. They were in Portuguese anyway, and I could only get the gist of them from the replies.

I agree ref the multiclub bit but I suspect that horse has already bolted and V Sports empire will only get bigger over time

watching that, then its not surprising that Bailey and Diaby occupy he same spaces.  Most the threat is from broken play on the right hand side.
Luckily both are great so we can rotate them.

I thought that worked very well toward the end of the season, Bailey and Diaby as a very fast paced overload on the right of our attack, it would have worked even better if we had converted all the chances it created.

Had a quick look at Brazilian Twitter last night and didn't see anything about it either. Plenty of stuff about him going there if Villa rescind his contract. My impression was that it was 777 Partners who had invested in Vasco, and that people at the club trying to facilitate the Coutinho move was causing some internal issues with them.

I think it was Philippe Auclair on football weekly recently said that as Vasco are owned by 777, the group who are struggling to take over Everton, they may be in financial difficulties as well.
If there’s any truth to that you’d think that they may not have the money to bring in Coutinho, this may then link to a take over by our owners, although I've not heard that before.

When we sell Coutinho for £100m and have a crack at the Premier League title, we can pause and reflect at the maybe bad thing we did. For a few seconds anyway. Maybe. I'm not committing to it though.
