I don't think we need a great deal to solidify ourselves in the top 4 and be able to cope with the potential pressures of the UCL too. We surely couldn't be as unlucky with injuries next season as we have this.
Key thing is to keep all the key players we have.

We may need to sell a few to balance books.
Chambers, Coutinho, and Sanson will go. Not much with fees, but it'll help balance the wages.

I suspect one of our left-backs may go. Both are over 30. Digne has been really good this season. Better than Moreno in truth, but given Lucas' wages I just wonder if a club comes in, whether we'd be able to turn it down.

Will Mings be sold? Fairly high earner. 31 now. I'd hate to see him go but long term it's debatable whether he fits into Unai's system.

I really like Duran, but do we cash in and try an unearth a new Watkins/Rogers as back up for Ollie? Again, he's one of those I'd only really sell if we can get something daft for him and if we do need to bring in some money. I like his unpredictability.

If we had to cash in on a sizeable asset, then for me JJ takes the bullet (at least over Emi/Douglas/Ollie) but I'd rather we kept him and all the others and if we cement Champions League, then we'd not be a million miles off from getting our books in shape.

In terms of incoming, I think it's probably full-back areas we need to just freshen up with options. Someone to battle Cash and a younger option for one of Digne/Moreno. I don't think we need a marquee-type signing as to be honest, we have star players. We just need to solidify a couple of weaker areas. I wonder if we might do another loan or two to supplement areas like CH and an attacking/midfield option.

I suspect we won't bring Zaniolo back but I'd be inclined not to do that anyway with the possible return of JJ and Emi 2 and Rogers quickly looking the part.

It has been reported by  Turkish outlet Hurriyet, Villa have tabled a bid for Galatasaray winger, Barış Alper Yılmaz. He's scored  six goals and nine assists this season.
However, the bid has fallen short. Galatasaray are demanding 25m euros (£21.5m) to let him leave this summer.

I would think thay Yilmaz may be replacement of Zaniolo and trying to do a deal for him instead.

Or we're buying him a little pal to make him feel happier here.

Just saw ezes performance vs west ham. Seriously this guys a fucking exceptional talent id sell ramsey if it means we can get him in. I think he would jump at the chance to come here and play CL

Under emery i think he could be one of the best midfielers in europe

Sorry for being dumb, but does the money from Atairos or Betano not help with transfer money in any way?

Betano yes, Atairos no. If they're just taking a stake in the club and helping with infrastructure etc.

Eze is who we should have bought to replace Grealish.  I've wanted us to get him since he was at QPR.

I’m pretty sure Eze wanted to stay in London at the time

Has anyone been out to Serbia to see how our Ned is doing? Go on, take one for the board.

Think he got injured not long after signing for us...

Will be interesting to see if he will be considered as part of the first team squad next season or maybe lined out again.. I think the full-back areas probably need strengthening and we need a physical and athletic defensive midfielder.  Apart from that, I think we should be pretty set.

Personally wouldn't be adverse to keeping Chambers as 5th choice CB as its possible we will need him at some point.  Lenglet would be OK in that role as well, but I guess we would need to buy him?

Absolutely  but brum isnt that far from london and he is not going to say to a exciting project under emery or touch wouls CL!.

He would cost big but he would be worth it. Fuck me he is good. We need to get in there early as you someone like spurs or arsenal will grab him up

I don't think we'll be spending big, so the likes of Eze seem very unlikely to me.  I think it will be a bit of shrewd tinkering rather than any big splash. Obviously, right-back is key.

We were linked with Olise when he was at Reading too which is annoying as he is excellent as well.

Yeah, I was disappointed when we didn't get Bowen, Eze or Olise - all of whom we were linked with to some extent.
