Another i would like is ferguson of broghton but he will be very expensive. He looks to be the next big thing

Ferguson, 19 years old , 6 goals in 36 games (1720 minutes) this season
Duran, 20 years old, 6 goals in 29 games (884 minutes) this season

Given they'll ask for an amount of money that would break our transfer record it would seem like an odd use of our resoures.

Fergusons been injured alot this year tbf. If you look at last seasons stats he was actually very goid and being likened to kane. Has so much potential

He's played 36 matches this season.

He strikes as a player who does a few things well and a number of things terribly.

Palace have a knack of signing strikers who have a handful of games a season where they look like the best player in the world, but a carthorse for the majority of the time.

Ferguson is a talent, clearly, but part of me wonders if Brighton have been playing him before he's ready for regular Premier League football to increase his value ahead of a sale. They sell players for big fees—that's what they do as a club—and he and Mitoma are probably the only two players who could attract significant transfers and FFP value this summer?

We've obviously taken a different approach with Duran, integrating him slowly, and blooding him properly over time.  He still looks very raw, but he's not a passenger in the team when he plays, he contributes, and he scores the odd goal, too.  I expect him to push on again next season, when he'll still only be 21 by the end of it.

I think Brighton have done okay by Ferguson. He's clearly a talent but may plateau for a while. It happens.

Depends what you mean by "significant".

Last summer Enciso was being talked up as a potential £50m transfer away, then did his knee and has been out most of this one. I bet Estupinan and Adingra would probably attract fees of £30m+ as well. Buonanotte is 19 and in the full Argentina squad, so you'd probably find someone willing to pay £30m for him too.

Of course, but anyone with a few games in the premier league can be worth £20m these days, squad players are all £10m+. I don't imagine Brighton are too interested in those sorts of sales unless they are in trouble. I meant more in line with the sort of big sales Brighton have made over the last few years, Cucurella, Ben White, Caicedo, MacAllister - players attracting fees in the £40-50m+ range.  Probably only Mitoma and Ferguson in that range? Could be wrong, obviously!

Would be more interested in the Ferguson at Bologna, rather than the invariably overpriced one at Brighton.

Done his ACL, so practically a Villa player already.

No need to funeral his knee, he's already done it in advance. That's Emery's insanely detail forethought shining through yet again.

As a leftfield option up front that big unit Mateta at Palace has always impressed me when I've watched him.

And to think I used to respect your opinion!! 😉

There's been a lot of reports about us being interested in Denzel Dumfries with suggestions that if we get 4th spot, it becomes a lot easier to sell it to him.

Seems a strange link, given we bought a young right-back in January, unless Unai has already decided Matty Cash is surplus to requirements?  There is no way we're carrying three international right-backs in the squad?
