If Felix doesn't happen, would it be worth trying for Zaha on say, a two year deal?
No

Can Felix play alongside Watkins, otherwise he’s an expensive sub.

Id say he could but we lose the threat of stretching teams in behind. I think Diaby is going to be a big loss in that sense, teams tended to drop off a lot to counter his pace. Gave space to likes of Luiz, Bailey and Watkins to play in.

There's Coutinho vibes off Felix. He won't be the first player to fall out with Simeone but none of the loan spells seem to have worked out.

Félix is phenomenally talented, but I do wonder if the Athleti experience has just damaged him. Maybe a new permanent home might be what he needs.

Rumours that Bournemouth have the deal agreed for him now.

I don’t think we will get Felix I think the deal will be too big for us at the moment
But there is a chance and if it happens I think it will be game changing for us

In normal circumstances maybe, but they want rid, he wants out, Barca can't afford him.... so you never know.

It's extremely disappointing that Douglas Luiz was sold. When I had that news I was shocked.
I understand it was financial ramifications.
Similarly the deal for Diaby being too good.

I would be flabagasted if we did not sign some elite calibre players after the sale of Luiz and Diaby. I think that signing Fabian Ruiz for midfield and Julian Alvarez in attack, instead of Felix I prefer Dani Olmo or Nico Williams and signing 3 of any of those 5 would be excellent moves.
And the sale of Duran that would be three out and three in. Would make us next level as Premier League and Champions league contenders.

Up The Villa!!

Jhon Duran from the ops point of view

Newcastle United have outbid West Ham in a last-gasp hijack for Aston Villa star Jhon Duran it has been claimed.

Nick Killington, who runs the popular West Ham YouTube channel Claret and Booze, has contacts at West Ham.

And he says Newcastle have jumped in and offered Aston Villa £36m for Duran.

Killington also states ‘it’s now expected he will move to Newcastle’ despite an unknown Saudi club offering £40m.

But Birmingham World is claiming the opposite is true.

Citing reports from Colombia, it states Newcastle did want Duran but have been ‘hit by a blow’ with the news West Ham are close to signing him from Villa.

He will go to where he will play or who pays him the big bucks.
