Get a centre-half on loan until we know if and when Mings is going to be back, right-winger and centre-forward (assuming Diaby leaves) and I'll be happy. Maybe another creative midfielder if I'm being greedy.

He's underage so doesn't count against the squad limit anyway so maybe that was it. Neither do Iling-Junior, Nedeljković, Munroe, Sousa or Duran (if he stays).

Nope it's still heavily limited:

A player may be registered on List B if he is born on, or after, 1 January 2002 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday by the time he is registered with UEFA – or for a total of three consecutive years with a maximum of one loan period to a club from the same association for a period not longer than one year. Players aged 16 may be submitted if they have been registered with the club for the previous two years without interruption.

so we can only register U21 players that have been at the club for at least 2 years , it's why Kellyman couldn't play last year. Of all those kids the only one eliginle for list b is Munroe. I do wonder if this is why Bogarde, Swinkels and Feeney are involved this pre-season and I suspect it's a big part of why Philogene is back and KKH is being looked at. If all of those are considered good enough then our depth in Europe looks much healthier.

Nah, the rule is over-complicated and punishing to teams that quickly develop. I assume it was done to stop c**ts like Chelsea gaming the system by signing a bunch of 18-21 year olds every summer to get around the squad restrictions.

Do you mean Buendia? His contract expires end of 2026, and he's been featured in training photos on club Twitter, etc.

With our squad depth we bring back Buendia / Mings and Ramsey at the pace they need…doesn’t have to be preseason
