I think we will sign 2 players in the summer, a centre half, as Lenglet will be leaving us, we will have no need for a forward as we are bringing back Archer, also we have Coutinho coming back to us this summer.

Maybe another centre midfield player, to cover for Kamara.

Hopefully a few of the squad who are not in Emery's plans will be shipped out.

I reckon we will sign a RB instead.  The CB cover will come about from this signing because Konsa will not need to shuffle across to RB as often.Plus Mings returning of course.

Yep, can't see us signing a CB if everyone but Lenglet stays.  We'll have Konsa, Torres, Carlos, Mings and Chambers which should be enough.

RB will depend heavily on how ready the Serbian kid is.  If he needs another season out on loan then I think we need to add a quality option there.  LB depends entirely on whether Digne's wages are viewed as a problem.  If not then, I think him and Moreno are fine as options there.

The only other real need for me would be an upgrade on Dendoncker in the defensive midfielder position.  Kamara is likely going to be out at the start of the season, so we need someone who can step in there when needed.

Apart from that, I don't think we will need too much else.

Palace are rumoured to want £70m+ for Eze, there's no way we're paying that sort of fee.
I don't blame them and you're right I'm sure we won't.

But I do think selling clubs are going to be very disappointed by values this summer, it just doesn't feel like enough clubs will have the FFP room to pay the huge fees at the moment.  How many clubs in world football will be able to pay £70-£100m right now?  Surely Chelsea are dropping out that equation at least this year.

New coaches at Man United and Chelsea are going to want to dump a lot of players on the market too. Eze might get a few clubs seriously interested though. Fair play to Palace if they get that kind of money.

In my opinion he is worth it. Under a top manager like unai he could be a world class talent.. if we get 50-60m for JJ if we decide to sell then im all in for getting eze

All ifs and buts of course

I disagree with a lot of people that we dont need a striker. Its going to be a very tough campaign next ywar whether its europa or CL. Ollie cant be palyibg that volume of games and im still not thinking of ollie picked up a long term injury that duran could do the job. Furthermore lets say he does get injured who plays backup striker to duran?

Definitely need another striker along with a rb

Think kesler will be sold dont think emery rates him as he has had very little game time. Chambers hause coutinho and sanson all need to be moved on

I really like Eze too but can't shake a feeling he's destined for Spurs and will be fair to middling but will win a gazillion caps.

Thats what in worried about. If he goes spurs that midfield will be frightening with maddison bentacur and eze.

We might need to break the bank but man how good would he be in a midfield of luiz mcginn amd kamara?

Without champions league I can't see that spurs can afford eze, or that eze would go there. Spurs need a striker more than anything

I think Lee's point is that, as soon as he goes to Spurs, he'll turn into an exciting but inconsistent player (nonetheless in every England squad regardless of form) in the most truly Spurs of moulds.

I'm just glad we have a manager who can dramatically improve players. We don't necessarily need to break the bank, we just pick up hidden gems and let Unai work his magic.

Unfortunately Spurs is one of the few who could even without CL.

I imagine Spurs will have more FFP room than most even without CL, having sold Kane and with their huge commercial income.  I reckon they'll be one of the few clubs with serious spending power this summer.

I don't see anyone paying big money for Ramsey when he's been out for pretty much a whole season, so would be very surprised if selling him is on the agenda this summer.

Yep, I suspect that even if selling JJ WAS part of the plan for this summer, then that plan will have changed the moment his season was over.  No one is going to spend big money on him when he still hasn't recovered from the complications of an injury he got a year ago.  Not that I'm disappointed about that. I think a fit and firing JJ, along with an improving Rogers is a brilliant pair of options for that ball-carrying transitional role in our side. In fact, if our injured players are going to return at somewhere close to their previous levels, then it does feel like this summer we need the least amount of squad overhaul that we've needed in many years.

Realistically, which player, who has played any sort of significant part this season, needs a proper upgrade?  You could argue right-back, maybe.  And perhaps another defensive midfielder to cover Bouba (though the squad options currently available have covered his absence brilliantly so far).  However, I still think another forward is a must.  As brilliant as Ollie has been, his run of never getting injured is likely to come to an end at some point, and it does feel like we don't have a like-for-like option anywhere in the club.  Add in a couple of domestic cup runs, and Ollie could have been looking at 60 games this season. That's not sustainable, surely?  We need to drop his load slightly and it wouldn't hurt to have some extra competition up top.

Spurs will have more money to spend without Champions League money, than we will WITH it.  That's another reason why it's so important to finish above them this season.  If we get 4th, it keeps us just about competitive with them, financially speaking.  But if they get 4th, the financial gap becomes enormous.

Listening to a Palace fan yesterday they expect Eze and or Elise to go in the summer. He seemed to think that the latter is more likely, a better player and destined for a Champions league club. I don’t think we’ll be in a position to sign from an English club because of the over inflated prices. Eze’s goal against West Ham was incredible technique even though the goal was gaping.

I don't think there is any chance of us spending big on someone to challenge Ollie, rightly or wrongly. I don't even think we'll spend small. I think it will be Watkins/Duran/Rogedrs seen as covering that position. I wouldn't mind a decent 32 year old from somewhere who has no issue being on the bench.

I can see us selling Duran and going for someone who can either play alongside Ollie or step in for him when he's not in the team. I keep seeing us linked with Zirkzee, who might be able to do that.

I think there will be a bit of trading from us. I think we'll sell Cash, Digne and Duran with money coming in for Sanson, Archer and Dendoncker. Which would mean us bringing in a right back, left back, defensive midfielder and forward. By which point we should have a squad that can compete in both League and Champions League.
