Just dropped into a karaoke bar in the way home and I am reminded how annoying it is that Peter Kay covered Amarillo & made it a Bolton song, but does that really stop us - it’s made for us isn’t it?


I love how the 2nd verse seems to describe Villa Park ….church bells ringing….just beyond the highway there’s an open plain… I can visualise the walk up from Aston station.

We even have a manager who fits now…
…..& Emery who waits for me! …..

(& I know opposition fans would change it to ‘hammer Villa’ …but ‘You’ll never work again’ has never troubled Liverpool enough for them to drop their anthem, nor has ‘wipe that snot…’ nor has ‘just like West Ham they fade & die’)
