I've got to say I do like Gibbs-White and could see him really flourishing in the role Tielemans is playing now, but then Youri is not a shabby player and Buendia will be coming back so it's probably very unlikely that we'd spend heavily on that position.

Bloody hell - i actually forgot about little Emi - get him firing and fighting for the place with Uri and wow what a fantastic squad we will have

I think we are on the cusp of something really big, we just need to see it to believe it.

I actually struggle to see where we could buy (if the FFP thing was not a cross to bare) better that some of our team at the moment. Assuming money no real issue:

Emi - Any other keeper you would want - err no

Pau - As above

Konsa - As above

McGinn - if he keeps the Emery form up - nope

Bailey - As Mcginn

Dougie - Nope

Kamara - Only Declan Rice for me

Watkins - Haaland aside - nope

Ramsay - i think he will just get better and better and be the partner of Bellingham for England for years to come (Once Mouthgate fucks off)

Thats 9 players out of 11  - of the other 3 needed 2 x are full backs

We really are that good at the moment

Agree.  The starting XI is a good side.  I think we definitely need another option at right-back, not necessarily to replace Cash but so that we can interchange in games like we do with Moreno and Digne.

The 'number 10' role was something we looked to address this season with Diaby, but unfortunately he hasn't really fired yet this season.  With Buendia and Tielemans playing there, it's an area we're OK in.  A back up striker is another must and think a young promising striker would fit the bill there.

The only other area I think needs strengthening is central midfield.  I just think we need an option who can come on in the closing stages and really bring some energy when we are looking to see games out.  A more mobile and athletic version of Dendoncker really and we're going to need cover for Kamara at the start of next season anyway.

I agree with a lot of what others have said - we have a really god first team.  In a transfer sense, the challenge, as is the case for all clubs when they get to this pint in their evolution, isn’t just to keep the best players.  Great teams replace great players with even better ones.

For now, it’s fair to say this is a team that isn’t hard to love.
