Sunderland away in the League Cup is still the best goalkeeping performance I've ever seen.

And that save against Coventry in 98

When I think of Bosnich I think of that save. Not many saves get a standing ovation like that one did, truly outstanding.

Get well soon Bozzie.

Tranmere Rovers. One of his best.
That game at VP was probably my favourite of all time.

Me too.

The place went crazy when Dalian put that header away in front of the Holte.

Bozzies penalty saves were amazing

Whenever the media (Sky & Talkshite predominantly) talke of him he is referred to as "Former Chelsea and Reddfuckingfilth goalkeeper" when in fact he had 2 spells at Redfuckingfilth at a total of 3 years (one of which as a junior) and 2 years at Chelsea.

Whereas he had 7 years at us contributing heavily to winning the league cup on 2 occasions.

I bet if he had murdered someone then it would be "Former Aston Villa GK...."

Good wishes and speedy recovery Mr Bosnich and thanks for the memories.

I was on the Holte and as the penalties started left and sat on the wall outside, another guy had done the same. Just the two of us judging what was happening by the sound. When they went up a load of people started leaving and then rush back in with the saves. We and the guy embraced and that was that. I wonder if he's on this forum?

I started standing towards the very back of The Holte (left side naturally), and finished about half way down without my feet touching the floor when Dalian scored the third.

If memory serves, the first time he was at ManU they had to let him go as he didn't qualify for a work permit.

I can't remember the exact game, but there one save from Mark Bosnich against Liverpool that almost defied belief. I think it was a rocket from Stan Collymore (for Liverpool) that was heading for the top corner before Bosnich flew across the goal and tipped it over. I've not managed to find it since, but I'd love to see it again, as back then I thought it was the best save I'd ever seen.
