I want us to win the Cup AND qualify for the Champions League.

Rotate as much as we can get away with and still win against Chelsea.

Aston Villa football club should be making regular trips to Wembley in cup competitions.

It would certainly help us to catch up more often. 8)

Resting and rotating could backfire by finishing up with a long drawn night of extra time and penalties,
It's THE CUP !....Go all out full strength !
On the hour mark when we are 3 or 4 up and have fucked the Chelsea fuckers, you can make changes with a view to Sunday and fucking the Man U fuckers.

Looks like Konsa is out anyway now so we're down to bare bones

We don't have enough players to make a raft of changes so it will be a strong 11.

We'd not have that many rotation options with Rogers cup tied , Zaniolo injured. If Konsa isn't 100% he should be rested for Sunday, same with Torres .
Diaby can start Wednesday and rest Bailey , perhaps irogbunam can play a part .
Baileys only played around two halves of football in the last 3 games, why does he need a rest?

Anyone know the Tallaght area of Dublin and where the game might be on?
The Old Mill in Old Barn, might have it on. Pretty big pub with a few screens, decent pub for a couple.

I think there's more to our pedestrian play of late than just a psychological taking the foot off the accelerator. I think it's planned to try to minimise our on-pitch exertions. Nobody needs a rest. Does anybody think any of them actually look tired? I don't. We're approaching the business end of the season, trophies are hoving into view, and we're looking in pretty fine fettle.

You’re right, it’s not tiredness as they all look full of energy when they’re fit. We’re getting caught out by injuries now and I fear it’s going to cost us. The thought of Carlos and Lengelet playing a high line does not fill me with confidence.

With the exception of Olsen who won’t start i don’t think we’ve got a weak starting 11 in the same way as the past

Dendonker has gone, Chambers isn’t the level as those around him and does weaken the team but if he plays it will be because of injuries not because Unai is throwing out a below par lineup, there’s nothing he can do about that

He played a strong side at Stamford Bridge and he will defo go as strong as he can with our injuries again tomorrow night

Got to start a proper 11 here, and if we get the first goal I struggle to see this Chelsea having the fortitude and resilience to come back. Could be wrong of course, but I think a fast start should win us the match, and the best chance for a fast start is with a strong starting lineup.

I'm sure we didn't go to the lengths of fielding our strongest side at Chelsea and bringing them back to VP for a replay in order for us to then risk losing that replay by fielding something other than our best eleven; even more so, given the draw we've been handed for the next round.

Could easily say the same about our league position and making sure we are as strong as we can be for Sunday.
Anyway we've already established that due to the lengthy injury list rotations now will be minimal , under normal circumstances we'd have seen 4 or 5 changes.

I think the draw will definitely encourage us to go strong.

The bullying of Tim, regardless of his past user history, is getting a bit tiresome. His views differ to the average at times but he's hardly a Flinstone.
