It's almost as if Arsenal feel the need to take over the mantle of North London's dealmaker cum dealbreaker extraordinaire that's been vacated by Daniel Levy.

Would have liked him to stay obviously - When he is great, he's bloody brilliant, but there were HUGE chunks of last season where it felt like we were playing with 10 men- Doesn't turn it on often enough. If we can make close to £100m profit to shut up the PSR wolves and reinvest with a consistent 7/10 player in his place, I'm all for that. The numbers and facts above show that he's not done too badly, but I'd argue that with the talent he should have done EVEN better - 40k villa fans screaming at him last season at Villa Park would surely vouch for that.

At least we're at a stage where we can attract like for like replacements now - It's not like selling Jack and getting an arm from here and a leg from there, from a number of championship waifs and strays.

I'm more excited by the predicted incoming players than I am disappointed by the outgoings. Times are changing and I fully expect Unai to take this on the chin, and take the club another step forward in the process.

Morgan Rogers. You were an unknown player in January 2024 when our magnificent club came calling for you. In two and half years you got to play for us in the premier league; You got to qualify for the champions league, twice, and you got to win a major trophy. You also became an England regular with a massive profile.

You had a five year deal with us as we strive to do truly elite level things. You could have led us to many trophies in the coming seasons cementing your place as a legend. Instead you have decided to trade these things for a scummy club built on Russian money who finished 10th last season. This makes you a massive twat.

One thing I’ve been wondering about all summer was Unai sounding incredibly positive and enthusiastic about the Club’s development when he did the Spanish interview at the start of the summer.

 I just wonder if he foresaw all this all along and was waiting for the World Cup to end so we could move on? Nas getting directly involved in ensuring the deal happened quickly and effectively suggests similar.

The thing that worries me is that a 7/10 player won’t score the goals that Morgan did. Like the two away at West Ham, or at Leeds, or against Man U at home, when we were under the cosh. All games we won, thanks to him.
