Thought Bellingham a) played very well and b) in doing so proved he's a central midfielder much much more than he is a 10.

I agree, he was much better playing in that role. Much more involved and can actually tackle. He was very good last night.

I think he was simultaneously very good and showed the problem with him playing centre mid. He did loads, but he also vacated his position a lot which allowed Panama too much space on the counter.
and do that against a decent side and we will get torn to pieces.

Bellingham lacks discipline, so unless you set up your whole team around him, he's going to be as much of a liability as an asset. That sounds harsh but it's not necessarily a criticism. He always wants to be at the heart of the action, constantly trying something. Rogers is similar in many ways - but I think Morgan's better coached at club level.

I really like Anderson, incidentally. Works his socks off, reads the game quite well, loves a tackle, keeps it simple as he knows his creative limitations. He could be England's Kante eventually.

He did that for about 10 mins v Croatia until Tuchel took him off. They were running through at will. Bellingham isn't a midfielder. Third low block test coming up, don't think Rogers holds his place. Back 7 aside, Kane and Bellingham are two certs and then it's any 2 with them. Saka over Madueke I guess on the right, Spence is average but will at least overlap them. Might be worth trying Bellingham on the left, did his best work on that side the other night. At least Rogers or Eze at 10 would have a more defined role then.

Rogers will start if Rice is still not match fit. He may start even if Rice is fit.

Both Konsa and Roger’s were poor for England, but there were other players who were also poor
