To help add further context to the level of transfer fee that players might command this summer, Chelsea apparently want £75m for mid-table full-back Mala Gusto.
That is madness!!

That's ridiculous.

If Anderson is going for £130 million, that's the bar. Any less we've been done over.

It looks like Arsenal are trying to get Rogers to say he wants the move to drive the price down. I really hope we play hardball if that is the case. Ideally I hope Rogers isn't stupid enough to play those games.

That's not going to work. Grealish said he wanted to go, fair enough, the price is £100m.

Arsenal are a competitor, and they have a massive advantage financially. If anything we need to get more out of them as it slices off a chunk of their advantage and gives it to us for a season. It's a six-pointer.

Doing a deal for them, helping them make better use of their advantage while stopping us from making the most of our assets is just shooting ourselves in the foot.

I just can't see Rogers wanting to join a club that play such boring football and rely on pushing and shoving to score their goals at corners. And then there's their fans. And that's without mentioning working every day with a twat like Arteta. Horrible club.

I don’t think we’re particularly likely to compromise on whatever our valuation is. I don’t think get the impression Rogers is likely to be the type to kick-off. Even if he were his contract is too long to make a play like that.

Agreed. Any idea who his agent is? I know what he is but never heard his name mentioned.

Transfermarkt have his agent listed as Footwork Management Ltd. From the list on there, he is their prized asset.

I read that he's changing/changed to one of the big agencies that handles Palmer, Eze etc.

Edit: quick Google. CAA Base is the candidate to get him more lucrative supermarket-opening gigs.

You're not kidding, their second most valued player is George Hirst (me neither), a 27 year old striker who plays for Ipswich apparently.

I'd check on Footwork's website, but 30 seconds interacting with that and it's giving me the fear.

There was talk of him moving to CAA a few months back (the one that SE mentions above), but nothing official that I can see.
