If Anderson played for us, we'd be tugging over him the way we do Bouba.
I actually prefer Wharton though. Rolls Royce of a player.
I like both and I also like Alex Scott of Bournemouth (the male footballer, before you start ...)

We should be all over him & MGW in a world where Rogers leaves. (Both not either or as Scott is a different player but would be very useful as part of the rebuild)

Anderson was to be fair outstanding against us in the EL first leg. Ran all over Tielemans in particular. Roles reversed in the second leg where he hardly got a kick (of the ball), he got kicked plenty including memorably McGinn pinging one off his head. The two leaders games I remember little of him with our midfield being dominant in both games. He's obviously a very good player, Villa games aside I've seen little of him admittedly, is he really all that? Wharton always seems to play well against us, technically is fantastic. Seems like he could go a bit further in his career. Odd one not to have in the England squad when retaining possession is a perennial problem.

I'd have either. I just wonder whether Wharton would disappear in a better team.
