When the time comes and he does go, I really hope it's abroad. Couldn't stomach seeing him playing for any of those tosser's mentioned above.

My prediction is he stays this year but there’s a gentleman’s agreement that he can leave for £100m-ish next summer.

We get an extra year and a decent fee when we will need it; he gets stability in a tumultuos year and a reasonable exit fee assuming his trajectory continues.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is something like this, but maybe with the agreement being more that we'll let him go if we don't make the CL again.

Saw a YouTube short of some twat called Ben Jacobs saying there is a buy back clause in place with Man City. You can really say any old shit in some quarters, can't you? I'd say I'd do it but I haven't got any charisma. Then again, neither have most of these dolts.

They've just confused sell-on clauses with buy-back clauses.

It was only The Mirror but the article I read today only mentions a Boro sell-on clause, no reference to Citeh.

Albion also have a buy back clause.

While it all sounds perfectly bizarre, do remember that every weird rumour that has us having agreed a deal to our detriment in the end always turns out to be true.

I know but we keep saying that and we still move forward. Yorke, Milner, Young, Jack, Barry etc. They all left and won loads of trophies at clubs where the chance was greater. We are just in a better spot now to maintain our trajectory but even then it's no guarantee that we will continue to stay where we are and win things.

Fair but he’d want a pay bump to stay for longer and I think that would create new problems given he’s already at the top end of our pay scale.

That's the very last thing we, as supporters, need to worry about. What could we possibly know about it?

Arsenal fans getting excited as a well respected Chelsea ITK is claiming that Rogers prefers a move to Arsenal rather than Chelsea. After much tugging he goes on to say Arsenal will need to pay "the going rate" for Rogers. Well, the going rate is £120m thank you very much which would leave us with £96m to play with after Boro take their share.

Anything less and he stays. My guess is they want him on the cheap and think "the going rate" is £80m which would leave us with just £64m.
