Thought there were some positive signs v Burnley. Grabbed an assist anyway. Expecting much better display v Spurs. Hes got a huge frame so has to learn to protect the ball better. Crack that and nobody is taking ball off him in contact.
Not helped by refs now allowing shirt pulling, wrestling and pushing.

Chelsea’s primary transfer target according to the BBC’s rumours page. I’m sure it won’t be the last link to him moving to another club.

Did he recently sign a new contract with us, I’m sure there was talk of one but didn’t hear it confirmed?

He signed one last November, a five and a half year deal, which i don't think we've ever handed-out to anyone before.

Whatevs.  I’m not arsed anymore.  The only staff member leaving that would be impossible to be on board with is the big U.

I posted in the match thread but seperating out into its own,.

Quote
Aged 23 years and 85 days, Morgan Rogers has become the sixth-youngest player to record 25 Premier League goal involvements for Aston Villa (12 goals, 13 assists), and the youngest since Christian Benteke in August 2013 (22y 257d).

Gabby is one, Young is another. Just need the other two.

No one between Rogers and Benteke so players before Benteke.

Vassell had 24 goals and 7 assists by the end of 02/03 and turned 23 that summer so he's one.

Barry is the other by about a month. 25th goal involvement was against Chelsea on 12/04/04 which is 23years and 48 days (I think, certainly a lot less than 85).

Great goal yesterday even if he was a little lucky to find the space.

I was worried when he went down injured. The cowardly flick was straight into the side of his knee and it is usually those slightly innocuous knocks which cause the worst injuries.

he is definitely getting targeted by opposition players, it was rota fouling again yesterday.
refs continuing to allow all sorts of fouling is not helping.

He played a great one-two with the Spurs number 7. Genius!

Apologies if this has been posted before but for those who were complaining why is he always picked and played full 90:

Surely Fowler should still be topping that list.

He does a great job at making himself available in those spaces. It’s what he does when he gets the ball that’s been deficient this season. A couple of sloppy passes/touches yesterday too, but overall an improvement. Getting closer to what he’s capable of, and so vital to how we play.

The goal was funny in that it showed his ability and flaws in two movements. Giving the ball away to the opposition and then taking an opportune pinger that was like prime Stanloi.

The 'vicious shitpinger' was something missing from his arsenal until yesterday I felt, more of this please.

It seemed to be well hit and dipping, so why were Sky et al blaming it as a keeper error?
