Well we’ll see, that last 20 mins was much more like it.

We will beat Newcastle with that last 20, certainly Sheffield United so I'm holding fire on this seemingly emerging view we're just going to collapse in last three months.

I thought Konsa was brilliant once more. He's got that self assurance any top CB needs and I love the way he's risen as a quiet leader to replace Mings. Hopefully we can get Pau back in a few weeks and keep Kons central as those two and Emi going into GOD mode should be enough to get us over the line for CL.

At one point in the second half, Konsa even did a backheel mid-air volley to clear the ball away. McGrathesque.

Yes, I spotted that. It was God’s signature move.

Imagine 3 or 4 years ago and being barely satisfied with an away draw and clean sheet at Shitford Bridge and 3 consecutive clean sheets at their gaffe.

Imagine it 15 months ago when El Affitaq's newly-recontracted manager was our fucking leader.

The fact that we went with our best available team and didn't win is a concern although I'd be a lot more disappointed if it was a league game.

I'm not too concerned really. In our last 4 matches against them we have won three and drawn one and they haven't scored a single goal. And that's a club that has spunked gazillions on their squad.

Didn’t they beat us under Carpethead?

Zaniolo needs more minutes and Diaby less.

I think Zaniolo has looked good in the little minutes he has got and Diaby looks lost but happy to get a draw.

Emi was ace and a few others still way off.

But we are in the draw .

According to Google they last beat us 16/10/22 at Villa Park 2.0. Since then we beat them once at home, twice at theirs and then 0.0 last night.

We haven't played them at home since the 'wipe the floor with us' game.

I think with how we play, slowing the game down, then it's probably worth it. We're not utilising Diaby's pace, that's not to say he still hasn't been poor.
