The drop off in form since the start of December continues. Tuesday God knows, fingers crossed the renaissance starts then. UTV.
Totally agree.

Well we’ll see, that last 20 mins was much more like it.

Cash was our best player today, defended to good effect against T-Rex arms and got forward well.

Could be a big night for him under Emery. I don't think Emery has ever been fully convinced but must have been impressed tonight.

Proof that going Cashless is not a good idea.

Absolute nonsense. Chelsea are a very good team in good form currently, especially at home and with momentum. We looked very dangerous and totally wrestled control of that match away from them and the last 30 mins was only one winner. The negativity is stupid

Bit harsh on Moreno, I thought he was much better than that

Thought Chelsea could have driven a bus down our left flank in the first half. He did improve a lot in the second half.

But that was largely because they had 3-4 players going into that channel, with Madueke, Palmer, Gallagher and Gilchrist all attacking the space outside Lenglet and us leaving Tielemans a little too high to help him out. 2nd half we nullified them by having Luiz sit a little deeper on that side and Tielemans holding his position a little more.

I thought Moreno had a very good game all things considered and stopped them making the most of the numbers.

Gallagher for them is much better going forward, he was constantly finding space in the gap between Moreno and Lenglet first half and getting some dangerous crosses in.

Can press well and getting better on the ball so with a year left on his deal in the summer he's actually someone I'd look at as he's pretty identical in style to SJM who we'll need to give a breather to a bit more next season.

We will beat Newcastle with that last 20, certainly Sheffield United so I'm holding fire on this seemingly emerging view we're just going to collapse in last three months.

I thought Konsa was brilliant once more. He's got that self assurance any top CB needs and I love the way he's risen as a quiet leader to replace Mings. Hopefully we can get Pau back in a few weeks and keep Kons central as those two and Emi going into GOD mode should be enough to get us over the line for CL.

We were poor and outhustled first half but we improved 2nd half as Chelsea understandably tired .
Lenglet / Diaby very poor displays , Moreno / Tielemans average . Martinez saved us tonight

I notice you ignore our agency in our improvement Tim, not a big surprise.

Looked back to his Palace form tonight. Not the silkiest of players, like McGinn, but very effective high up the pitch. He was playing with Chelsea for a long time taking the ball off the back and it wasnt his game at all. Doubt he has any genuine interest leaving Chelsea, just trying to negotiate a big contract off them.

Played pretty well in that second half especially. Marginal offside call went against us, Tielemans could have had a couple.  Cash & Kamara stood out but both performances are outshone by that of the World’s Best Goalkeeper.

Ref allowed them to foul us with impunity.
Looked like he wanted Chelsea to win.
We had 2 good spells in the game and finished the stronger but we kept presenting Chelsea with chances.
I thought our midfield did well, a bit shaky in defence at times but nothing from Watkins and Diaby.
Martinez kept us in the competition.

Draw was fair result, we struggled first half & did our best to gift the game to them. Second half we should have gone on to win the game.

Cash, Konsa & Martinez were the star performers.
Ollie's been on 49 goals for a while. Hopefully he'll bag one on Tuesday.

Chukwuemeka was left in no doubt as to what the Villa fans thought of him when he was warming up, and later again when he came on.
