Bit harsh on Moreno, I thought he was much better than that

We did really well to wrestle back control of that game against a really decent looking Chelsea team. Definitely missing a bit of confidence up top though

Think that one of our moves was to play the ball up to Diaby and for him to spin his marker and then use his pace to drive into the box.

Problem was that he got a buffeting all game and struggled with the defender's physicality. Can't think of a single occasion when he turned his man, despite several attempts.

Thought Chelsea could have driven a bus down our left flank in the first half. He did improve a lot in the second half.

The Villa fans made some noise!

Yeah I was listening on the radio and all you could hear was the Villa fans

Watched on the Betfair site, no commentary, very noisy Villa fans.

They targeted that area and we basically rebuffed everything

But that was largely because they had 3-4 players going into that channel, with Madueke, Palmer, Gallagher and Gilchrist all attacking the space outside Lenglet and us leaving Tielemans a little too high to help him out. 2nd half we nullified them by having Luiz sit a little deeper on that side and Tielemans holding his position a little more.

I thought Moreno had a very good game all things considered and stopped them making the most of the numbers.

The drop off in form since the start of December continues. Tuesday God knows, fingers crossed the renaissance starts then. UTV.

We haven’t had a complete game since Man City, if we are being brutally honest.

The distance between Lenglet and Moreno looked wrong from the off but thought Moreno was poor defending the cross field punts and also defending balls coming in from his flank one on one anyway, McGinn bailed him out at least once. Don't think he offered anything with the ball either which is unlike him. Much better in the second both with and without the ball. Still struggling to hit his best form.

The back to back wins against city and Arsenal were always going to be an apex moment, for the ages. Whilst we’ve dropped from there we are still playing well above expectations. Chelsea are strong at home.

That last 20 mins was as well as we’ve played for a while.

Cash was our best player today, defended to good effect against T-Rex arms and got forward well.

We often seem to soak it all up and then gor for it late on when the opposition tire. Nearly worked.
