This is Unai's classy view on today's disallowed goal:

“It was long [deciding] because it was tight, but I completely accept VAR’s decision. The most important thing is to get the right decision – if it takes time to get the right decision, I accept it.”

And that is what sets him apart from the Big6 whingers and whiners.

Methinks our players would benefit similar self control.

It's better than being a soft touch like we were for years.

This, it’s hardly bad is it?

The referees are bloody useless. Watkins and Tielemans should not have been booked today. There centre half went right through Watkins right after Tielemans received his soft booking as well and got nothing.

That was a bad tackle on Watkins, he could and should have made a lot more of it. Tarlowski would only be a PL defender under Dyche.

It was a terrible challenge. We’ve been fed of players diving for years but now in Diably and Watkins cases today, when they do not make a meal of things the other team go unpunished.

It’s all just so inconsistent. Even Lenglet‘s yellow was nonsense as he didn’t do anything and was rammed by two players after the incident and didn’t retaliate.

One red all season, chill out

Watkins gave away a free kick at the end to overule a corner we could have scored from.
Hard to see who was fouling who there. The way it was going the ref was never going to give it our way.
Before the 'foul' that was given there's a clear as day 2handed shove on Ollie that pushed him into an offside position just as we were trying to get the cross over. The foul was Ollie pushing him back at which point Tarkowski decided to wrestle with him and turned out to be weaker than Ollie. Anyone who watched it would know exactly who instigated that bullshit but the piss poor referee just saw Tarkowski go over and gifted them a free kick.

The same thing happened over and over during the game and the idiot ref fell for it every time.

It was almost the end of the game, but McGinn was subbed off immediately after being clattered into, when he looked to be in a rage and shaping up to go about exacting his own form of redress. It looked to me as if he was being taken off before he could get to work on it!

Since Brentford, we have been involved in unnecessary pushing and shoving during dead ball situations in just about every game. Prior to Brentford there was nothing. It has clearly been siezed on as a way to unsettle us, knock us off our stride and get us yellow and possibly red cards. It also shows we are feeling the pressure of competing at the top. It's something that needs to be talked about. We should let it all go over our heads and focus on playing the game because that is actually something we are better at than most of our opposition.

Reactionary thread, they're a great bunch of lads.

I do wonder what Tielemans was saying to Seámie Coleman to rile up the Sligo man so much.
Maybe said he was from Sligo

Nobody seems to mentioning the Langlet ‘goal’, disallowed for a stupid free kick given away. Bad reffing sure, but bad play to give him a chance to blow up. Can’t mind who now, but it was more pointless wrestling and cost us two points.

I think it's a tactic we employ with corners. They idea being to keep defenders where they are so we have less risk of being caught offside. Invariably it's considered as both of them are at it and you get away with it.

It looks like some teams have decided to challenge the courage of the players as they can't compete football-wise.

It doesn't help when the ref is an utterly clueless tw*t like Coote.

Perhaps, but it wasn’t from a corner. I’m on about the Langlet goal, not the Moreno one.
