Who are Ajax's key players these days and who do we have to watch?

To be honest i don't really think they have many headline players now , they are a shadow of former Ajax teams .

Where to even start with Ajax this season, to say that it's been a catastrophe doesn't even come close. At one point before Christmas, they were hovering about the relegation spots, a position that the club in its entire history has not occupied. To top it all off, they even lost to Heracles, an amateur team in the cup, something else that has never occurred in their entire history. The catastrophic decision to get Sven Mislintat in as director of football against the wishes of the fanbase made the atmosphere at the ArenA very toxic. He has now been sacked after some appalling players were recruited and the manager was sacked too and replaced by a former player come tv pundit on Dutch telly. The rot has been stopped, but right now Ajax is merely a name, as the current team's position reflects their quality. AZ comprehensively beat them at the weekend and frankly, we'll never get a better chance to defeat a faded giant than now.

Brobby who plays up front is one to watch.

Other notable players are ex Arsenal forward Chuba Akpom, and the ex-Spurs winger Steven Bergwijn.

They have Steven Berghuis as another wide player but doubt anyone has heard about the rest of their squad.

Geronimo Rulli is Emi's backup at Argentina. Or one of them, given Emi always plays so it's hard to tell who would if he weren't there.

Branco Van Den Boomen had a great season in Ligue 1 last year. We were linked with him on a free last summer, but he went to Ajax where he's not been quite so good.

Kenneth Taylor is supposed to be decent, but I don't know much more about him than that.

Josip Sutalo is a Croatian international centre back and has played a lot this season, but he was sent off last Thursday so will miss the first leg at least.
