He played well the last two games, I’m not going to scapegoat him for a mistake.

I like him a lot, but yesterday he had a poor game. l hope it doesn’t
affect his confidence, because he has a role to play in our upcoming
games.

Always overrated by the fan base. Not nearly good enough for where we want to be. I would look to sell this summer of the price is right.

His form has dipped a bit in the last month or so, possibly playing too much for a young lad at the highest of standards with Villa in third.  Might need a bit of a rest but due to the injuries, we can't afford to rest him.  He's a damn decent player though who made a mistake which led to a goal, as did Buendia's tackle.

This was meant to be his chance to develop as a DCM, instead he’s been shunted about to RB again.

I don't think we are scapegoating him, He hasn't played well in this last month. Defensively hes okay, But hes terrible on the ball he looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights. I really wanted to like him but hes not up to the standards we need when we are playing out from the back.

Are we finally gonna get that Ningueza lad in the summer? Sort out this lack of Cash-competiton shit once and for all. Cos Ned, García, Bogarde and all the youth prospects this side of Siam, ain't it.

Said this to my dad last night, he'll get the lions share of blame for that shit Watkins error that led to their goal. Wasn't all on him and he did enough all game for me to forget about it.

He's young and needs to develop a bit of steel on the ball and be a bit more positive, he's having to learn all that whilst playing alongside a mismatched midfield who are also trying to find some fluidity together. Think we'd be daft to sell him in the summer considering how expensive great CDMs are and how much utility he has generally. He's a brilliant bench player who's rarely injured and is still developing.

Some of these comments on here remind me of the Cash thread and he wasn’t a young inexperienced lad playing out of position. He can’t pass, he goes backwards, he doesn’t attack. Look at him now, he’s been superb this season.

We’re in the middle of a huge injury crisis, every game is a vital learning experience, even if playing out of position. Players like Gareth Barry and James Milner played in many positions in their early days.

As for saying he’s nowhere near good enough for where we want to be, have you wondered how we are supposed to get where we want to be when our hands have been tied up and we have four vital first team players out and then more injuries to reserve players. I wish we could go out and replace these players, just like Man City can.

He played well at right back in the week, very well. He didn’t yesterday, but that second half was an onslaught because of a reckless decision by our reserve goalkeeper.

For us playing with ten men is tough. We’re not that sort of side who park the bus, we never will be under Emery. When teams like Everton or Brentford lose a player to a sending off, I would say their system isn’t that thwarted. Yes, it’s still hard for them, but the play a way which is very hard to play against anyway, this low block.

I like Bogarde and in a perfect world he’d be playing in the Kamara role and not expected to be the perfect player like we need him now. Whether he’s going to be good enough, I’m not sure, he’s definitely shown may signs of promise and may times hasn’t looked out of place. Sometimes young players form will dramatically drop off, if happens, Kobbie Mainoo for instance. Murphy at Newcastle is another who’s struggled at times and looked brilliant at others. I really like the look of their player Miley, he’s barely featured lately.

He made a really big error yesterday when the game was already done. But the kid needs to be given a break, he’s not a right back. He’s very decent cover/a substitute option for our first choice midfield, who are all crocked.
Over reaction to talk about selling etc.
i do think we should try Lindelof at right back against Leeds and have Bogarde as an option to help the midfield from the bench.

Bogarde should play DM - clearly his position. What's the point of having Garcia if he's now available for selection for him to sit on the bench.

Lindelof was awful at RB at EL level. Konsa would be no better at RB on the ball than Bogarde. Bogarde at RB v Leeds still preferable to either of those options for me. Cash might be back anyway.

Well Cash being back would obviously be the preferable option. The overall point i was trying to make, is we shouldn’t go too heavy on the criticism of Bogarde when he’s a) still young and b) being played out of position.

No blame on Bogarde. He has been great in both games at RB. The blame yesterday and definitely cost us the game was senior players Bailey and Bizot.
