OK no resting or rotating nonsense please Unai. We don't have a League game till 14 January so go for it with best available XI.

Player availability likely to drive the team selection. Kamara should be nice and fresh after his Xmas holidays. Hopefully Cash back too. Likes of Digne, Tielemans won't be available. Emery will probably give the likes of Duran and Zaniolo a go.

Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Torres, Moreno, Kamara, Luiz, Zaniolo, Ramsey, Diaby, Duran.

Yeah that's a nice mix of strength and rotation.

Big rotation required and is total common sense. Maybe play Kamara though to remove any rustiness .
----------- Marscahll------------
Cash chambers Lenglet Moreno
----- Dendonker- irogbunam---
Zaniolo ---------------- O'Reilly
--- Duran ----- Diaby-----------

Please can you amened the title to put 'pre-match' in? I fear you've cost us the tie already tbh.

At least he didn't add an extra 'o' to Middlesbrough, we should still be fine.

Boro have got their semi final 3 days later, so I wouldn't be surprised if they played their second 11.

Just avoid a repeat of the Simod Cup and that pratt tooting his bugle.

Middlesbrough have injury issues and are losing 3 first teamers to the Asian and African cups, so they won't be at full strength even if they wanted to be.

I wouldn't favour playing Marschall or O'Reilly .
Marschall was 4th choice last season,  has played one game for us and the other appearances were all in the National League. I know keepers can develop later, but he'll be 25 in April so his appearances suggest he isn't at the right level.

I've since seen Olsen is back in training so put him in goal for this one.

Has ben added by a Mod and also the unnecessary word "thread" to which I could object to but that will just amplify my incompetence.

He's 20.
