No Pau, Tielemans, Olsen tomorrow. Thankfully no Fin Azaz hat trick for them either as he didn’t sign in time. Cash likely back.

Emery “It's a way for a trophy and prestige as well, for every supporter and for the players. I will send this message in our meeting tomorrow morning.”

Pau being out is a bit odd isn’t it? And concerning.

He was injured and probably shouldn't have been playing in the Burnley game. Emery said before it that he definitely couldn't play a full game. Either he'd aggravated whatever it was, or Emery's just not risking him and wants him fully fit for next week.

Seemed a bit of an odd sub to make against Burnley. Hope he hasn’t had a setback.

I'd be more concerned if this was a league match that Pau was missing.

He didn't play much in the European games either, so it could just be more of the same from Emery in that respect.

Most likely they gave him a run out to see how it was and he ain’t 100% yet.
Sometimes you have to play to see how an injury reacts.

Given Emery went on to say he'd be back for Everton, no. I'd say its a sensible move to not risk him as he's so intergral to how we play in the Prem.

I just hope we are demanding.

And focused. Prepared mentally, collectively and individual in our way.

I saw Gerrard’s old mate Michael Beale pop up yesterday on TV as some unfortunates new manager,

He straightaway came out with the ‘best versions of themselves’ bollocks to which I said out loud ‘oh do fuck off’ without thinking

My Mrs said hey no need for that, I said sorry but you don’t understand

Get her to look you in the eye and tell you she's ready to be Mrs E.

In fairness she is a big fan of our Tyrone and she don’t like football

I would hope we go for a standard back 4 tomorrow of Cash, Carlos, Lenglet, Moreno. Give Konsa a rest.

Playing a high defensive line with Carlos and Lenglet is asking for trouble, as we saw at Old Trafford.

Azaz joined Boro.

Not sure if he will be registered & available for tomorrow's game.

Carrick was talking about him being available yesterday...

It's only Boro, we will be fine.
