It was a memorable night, I think there’s plenty more to come

That's the really exciting bit about all this. We know this isn't some flash in the pan, just having a good spell of form like when we spanked the Scousers.

This is the real deal.

Just noticed the fucking fanny Foden has his squad number tattooed on his neck. Is that so they have to retire the shirt number when he is fucked off by Pep to a lower side.

I didn’t notice it, but my lad said Walker at one point looked up to the heavens hands in the air and basically said what the hell is going on
It was a memorable night, I think there’s plenty more to come

The analysis over here pointed out how Walker was totally nullified by Emery's tactics.  Digne was pushed up so high he was basically on Walker most of the night.

Stones mentioned in his interview that they weren't able to build out from the back at all last night and they just never got any kind of momentum going. I guess the fact they didn't really have a midfield meant we could just kill them at the back and not have to worry about anyone getting it to Haaland.

Commentator out-of-context: "Pau Torres losing out to Erling Haaland".

Context: Ludo just gets ahead of Torres to win a ball 10 yards outside his own area after another one of our attacks (not even a freekick, just normal play). The "won" ball is then carried into his own box whilst under pressure resulting in a wild hoof out to no-one.

But for the first 10 minutes you’d have hardly known he was playing. That being down to our defending completely.

Still buzzing , got in about 7 am after meeting Vila mates down the pub who had just come back from the game , had to be done.

Ive seen Villa beat Liverpool 5 1 and Arse 5 1 in the 70s  , watched us win the league and saw us in Rotterdam win the European cup ,   been buzzing after beating MAnure 3  1 in the cup and had some great unbelievable moments even recently beating Liver pool 7 2  but being with my son last night , running around the room , open mouthed and tears in both eyes and feeling dizzy as fcuk after , I was shaking for 30 minutes and said Im off to get pissed.

Was one of the best performances in a long long time ,might have even been some of the best football Ive seen ,  fcuking amazing and I realised this team could win the league in the next couple of seasons.

Im shattered .    LOve you Villa.     Just wish we was there .

Some of our football though.
There were more gasps and groans from the crowd than a 70's porn movie.

Anyone know if the 22 shots at goal include shots blocked by a defender which doesn't actually go towards goal. Because if they don't, that is another 9 shots we had last night. Oh and plus five to our catching other teams offside counter. So no, we don't need daylight rules please.

I know, I posted something like this last week, when we got to fourth!  The Table is looking very good.
Hopefully we will continue onward and upward for Christmas 🎄!

Being a massive fanny, I took a screen shot of the table after we scored, just in case we ballsed it up and conceded. Should have had more faith!

Lewis was lost and Stones or Akanji second half were dreadful next to him . Phillips might not a great player but it's coming across vindictive from Guardiola not to to give him a proper chance. That guy from Wolves who came on looked another pub player. At least Phillips has a physical presence about him if nothing else. Walker as captain is another strange one, seemed like they were trying to move him on last season now he's an ever present. Looks finished. Thought the same v Spurs (with Rodri) that they are very easy to play against these days.

It was probably around this time last season that they were struggling badly, Guardiola punted Cancelo out as the sacrificial lamb and galvanised them. They are capable of it again but are going to need a fully fit KdB and Stones after Xmas to win the title.

It does, most stats sites break in down as on-target, off-target and blocked.
