After all the euphoria of pissing all over the treble winners, even though it’s quite an apparent fact, I’ve just realised we kept a clean sheet! Ha ha!

Bailey and McGinn were magnificent. The rest were merely excellent. I have a slight niggle that I just hope we haven't peaked too early but my hangovers tend to make me a bit anxious these days.

fantastic performance from the TEAM

Pau's passing from defence into our midfield was sublime, McGinn was so dominant and Bailey's performance was outstanding

Hopefully we can beat Arsenal on Saturday evening

Axl Rose - hopefully you went into work wearing a Villa Top

UTV - and Mr Emery and his staff, thank you so much for bringing our ASTON VILLA BACK!!!

Just back. Reminds me of 1980-81. That's all.

For those who can remember 80-81 (I was born during that season), how did last night compare to the 2-0 win v Liverpool that season?

Villa beating Citihad was the top sport story on the infoscreens on Munich's transport network this morning. Nice going to work seeing Leon Bailey celebrating the winner.

Their fans were rubbish last night too, barely a peep from them.

What a performance. Was trying to think of a better one. Probably not even the Liverpool Semi but that was probably more the occasion.
My only slight downer, did anyone see Diaby race down the tunnel at full time? Doesn’t look overly enamoured in the team photo either. Hopefully my natural pessimism and nothing else. 🤣

I was surprised Haaland didn’t play. Was he injured or suspended?

I've heard from more non-villa supporting mates since last night than I have after any other Villa game I could remember. Fans of loads of other clubs. It seems there are LOT of people with Amazon Prime.  To a man, they've all been incredibly complimentary, with the gist of it being, "Christ, how long have you been playing like that??"

I think any hope we were still running under the radar is now well and truly gone.  Can you imagine what it'll be like if we can repeat the feat on Saturday?  Personally, I thought two points from these two games would be perfectly acceptable.  I now think 4 points would be incredible.  6 points previously unthinkable but now a real possibility.

No one. Literally no one, will fancy playing us at Villa Park now.

Oh you big wally. He came on and mooched about in defence for abot 5 minutes towards the end. Apparently Guardiola sent them back out after the match to try to get another shot on target, and they're still there this morning.

As an aside, is that the set now, ie the only team I can think of that we hadn't beaten since we've been back up?

John McGinn showed what a great midfielder looked like last night. He was immense

I was listening on 5live (too nervous to watch) at one stage and commentator said 'Haaland gets the ball on the edge of the city box and plays it upfield. The problem for City is they needed Haaland on the end of that ball'

Word of beauty to my ears. When does he ever have to that?

This was supposed to quote Stu but …..for Stu…
In Australia I think you get an hours highlights of every game the next day so you should get to see a good chunk of it!
