Apparently the 5th time in the Premier League that we've beaten the defending champions.

Name the other times, GO!

Hope it's not Blackburn or Lesta.

I remember Blackburn being one. They were rubbish the year after they won it. Southgate got one of the goals for us, a good header.

Definitely not Leicester, for obvious reasons.

Wasn’t one the Liverpool 7-2?

Up there with one of my favourite ever nights at VP. The performance was outstanding. The feeling at the final whistle, it feels way bigger than just another win/3 points. We are onto something special with this group. Our ceiling is huge

Probably Arsenal in the late 90s?

Edit - the 3-2, parachuting Santa game.

I would have thought so. Another Man City one as well I think. And Blackburn was one.

Did see the list.

Think Manure in 2009. Blackburn 2-0 in 1996. Obviously Liverpool 7-2 and Man Citeh 1-0. Think the other one was Arse 3-2 in 1999.

I think the Arsenal game was 1998 - 25 years ago next week.

We beat Arsenal after they were Champions  - Yorke's panenka penalty - does that count?

Quote-tripping is a new one for me.

The forum just can't handle the Great Barr massive. Not our fault we're real Brummies and don't live in Shropshire, Ealing or Mexico!

It's where you (or indeed your parents) are born. Not where you live. That counts.

Completely forgot that one. We beat Arsenal twice when they were champions that year then.

In no particular order - I can only think of two similar performances where we have battered a team of man city's level (that I've been present at) Inter 2-0, Man U 3-1 95/96.

Of course, but I don't know where Paddy was born.
