My guess would be Carlos stays in to try and match Haaland physically.

We won't have a better chance to beat them.  He's starting Stones in midfield because he doesn't trust the other two holding midfielders he purchased.

Also because Stones played really well last year there.

That was different.  Rodri was still in the team and Stones was staring as right-back but essentially playing in midfield.

My main concern is Carlos and Pau - Pau is great on the Paul - but not the strongest.

Really not convinced by Carlos

Well - I guess we have to hope that Unai knows more than me

Odd line up for a home game. Not very confident.

I don’t think any of us have the right to question the team selection.
More accurately, Unai has earned the right to be trusted

Mister Tinkerman Strikes Again. Has Cash shat in Unai's Marmitako? FFS.

All optimism for the game has gone with that line up. 0-3 maybe 0-4 defeat on the cards.
Come on Viila, prove me wrong.

I thought I had seen it all.

I wonder if there's going to be a bit of fluidity here, with Digne getting forward a lot and when he does EK operating more like part of a three centre backs system

What has Cash done wrong exactly. I can’t understand how Emery can look at the last performance and think that that defence isn’t a problem.

It is our away team.  I'm not sure whether I like that or not!  But he most certainly knows what he's doing so let's fucking ave it!

Has Diaby been dropped then, rather than being rested?

Just looks so odd not starting our best 11 against a somewhat depleted Man City side. Bailey is in better form than Diaby, but the Cash thing is odd. If he's not carrying a knock it's a bizarre decision.

Diaby was outstanding against Legia. Both Bailey and Diaby did well v Bournemouth to be fair. It's a tight call.

There's MON vibes about some of the rest of the selection unfortunately.

The finishing eleven will be different.

Unai always has a game plan.

Big game for Carlos to show he's up to it.
