Yikes - if they perform anywhere near like they did Sunday we’re in big trouble. Hope I’m proved wrong.

Even with Konsa at RB I prefer our 11 to theirs, so we'll probably get twatted now. Imagine a match thread if that was our midfield after spending an absolute fortune.

My guess would be Carlos stays in to try and match Haaland physically.

We won't have a better chance to beat them.  He's starting Stones in midfield because he doesn't trust the other two holding midfielders he purchased.

Also because Stones played really well last year there.

I guess he wants DC to deal with the physicality of Haaland

Is he? BBC with the guess at formation based on the teams play has Kamara partnering Watkins so I expect for them, it will be more of a three at the back and Walker and Gvadiol as wing backs.

I want to see us going toe to toe with these tonight. We are just one point behind them and we're the home team. Let's not be the underdogs.

Has Diaby been dropped then, rather than being rested?

Just looks so odd not starting our best 11 against a somewhat depleted Man City side. Bailey is in better form than Diaby, but the Cash thing is odd. If he's not carrying a knock it's a bizarre decision.

Cash on the bench and Konsa at RB??
I tend to agree - otherwise makes no sense resting him at the weekend

Diaby has been a bit meh in recent matches (ball for Watkins at Bournemouth aside), he's one who is looking a bit tired to me.

The Cash thing, though, I don't get. I guess the only positive there is that he's on the bench and not in midfield.

Mister Tinkerman Strikes Again. Has Cash shat in Unai's Marmitako? FFS.

All optimism for the game has gone with that line up. 0-3 maybe 0-4 defeat on the cards.
Come on Viila, prove me wrong.
