I was thinking last night, does he play Bailey and Diaby and try and exploit their high line (if they play it with half their defence out) or go with Tilemans to try and lay some balls through to the front two?
I feel oddly confident about this one, I'm not sure why.  1-4 to us.
I hope he starts Tielemans and keeps it solid, we have had problems away with teams that have come at us early and we have conceded.
Totally agree. In any case, hasn't Bailey returned from I duty with a slight injury?

We just need to get the midfield right, the rest will take care of itself. As the great Mike Basset said, '4-4-fucking 2'.

Arsenal loss and a 6-0 win tomorrow and we go second. Don’t fuck it up Villa.

Watkins and Diaby do their attacking best. The rest takes care of itself.Dier, Davies, Emerson...
Football lesson from Professor Emery tomorrow, please.must have a plan against Spurs way of playing. It's actually easier than Forest away in some respects due to the differing nature and Spurs playing into Villa hands.

We are going to batter these into the nearest funeral home. 3-1.*

*Note. If we lose, please don't bother coming onto the post-match thread haughtily trying to make those of us who are far too cocksure, arrogant, disrespectful etc. on this thread. I for one don't care. Football is about hope, expectation, crazy predictions and wild dreams. Which get dashed and mashed into the ground at regular intervals because that is what happens in football. Ta!

I'm with you. But Villa scoring 3 or 4 isn't crazy prediction in my view.

I've had a feeling about us scoring four goals in this game during the international break.
I predicted that earlier in this thread. (4-1)
Son may score, (literally only attacking threat) but I think we'll outscore them by far.Nothing changes for whoever starts for Villa. Why ?
Because Emery will set it up to exploit the weakness.

Oh yes, but they aren't  golden boot winners like your Harry Kanes and Sons
Son is class, but I wouldn't put those other two in the same bracket. No Harry Kane this time around, a depleted midfield and defence with a suspect way of defending anyway and we beat Spurs home and away last season.
I guess I don't feel concerned as you and some to Spurs offering much of a threat. They just don't have the quality midfield like we have and I 100% trust Emery game plan and his prediction on how the game will go.

I think even with their injuries, we'll lose this one.
Of the outfield players.
6 out of the 10 starters from Spurs last win are now struggling injured/suspended for this game.
So literally 4 first choice players left who have known Ange Ball winning system.
And they could be playing doufas Forster in goal if first choice Vicario still has flu.

Can you reconsider ?

It doesn’t really make any difference if I do or don’t really. The team just need to play a lot better than they mostly have this season and we’ll have a chance.

Big game - it’s going to be bloody tough. We are going to need to play much better than we have away.

Their injuries/absences are presumably a factor too. But agree we are right up there now in terms of capability, we just need to be more effective away.

Regular readers can look away now, but it really is about time we started believing in ourselves.

My Brother who is a Spurs fan isn't very confident. Hope we smash them, 4-1 sounds good.
