Need to make sure we don’t give away needless free kicks outside our box. But that’s a good line up and bench. West Ham are a strong side without a lot of obvious weaknesses. This won’t be easy.

On KUMB the Spam fans seem to think that player for player they have a stronger first eleven than us but looking at their side I can’t see it

Maybe they mean in the tug of war or bench pressing sense.

I'd say it's pretty evenly balanced - I'm guessing the result will go to the team that sets up and executes the best, and / or where a moment of magic determines the outcome.

I’m unusually early to the ground today. I’ve noticed  the starting  10 warm up separately than the subs. Kind of makes sense , I’ve just never seen it before

West Ham players were staying at Belfry last night. They were very accommodating to selfie requests.

I hope we smash them today.

Zaniolo is playing then.  Good.  Shows we have faith in him and that his head is ok to play.  Come on Villa.

We don't really have many other options. Be interesting to see where he plays. Really poor in his last two appearances. Digne likely to need help minding Bowen

Would prefer Digne not to given Moreno still isn't in the squad. Luiz getting booked at some point is a cert as we'll need our first choice midfield v Alkmaar and then we should be o.k giving Tielemans a start v Luton.
