A thoroughly ugly game of football which in truth I didn't expect to see from our boys - but to be fair Wolves did their best to bring us down to their level. A bit leggy second half caused lots of passes to go astray and lots of decisions were the wrong ones. Oh if only Ollie's last second strike had gone in - the old gold faces!!

Basically Wolves are over physical and shit but with about 3 good players. We were poor today but should have beaten them.

It was ok. Just ok.

It’s been a while since we had a game like that.

We should have started with a more attacking team.

Lamb shank for me - in honour of Neto's late effort.

Hitting the post in the last attack has spoiled it for me. If only…

We’re not going to play brilliantly every game. And consistently having midweek games is something we need to get used to and we need to develop a squad to deal with it. Getting a point from a shit game is still decent return. Wolves did what they needed to do get their point and we didn’t quite have it today to win it. As much as we nearly did at the death.

I was frustrated by the amount of crosses. Cross after cross after cross yet when the team played through them they looked much more dangerous.

Far too much horizontal play from them (ie falling over as if poleaxed and taking ages to get up) OK we had 12 minutes extra but I felt the draw was coming in my bones. Thank God we don't have to support them every week.

A point will do. They are crap, but they always somehow bring us down to their level, sorry #levels, when they play us. And Sa always looks like the best keeper in the world when we play them, too.

I have a feeling too that poor Zaniolo will never score a goal for us.

I hope to be proven wrong but so far in a Villa shirt, Zaniolo has been all fart and no poo

Bit harsh. He's always involved but his decision making was a bit off. Still very close for winning it right at the end.

Did we really need the three CBs to finish the game? I dunno. Wolves just gave up crossing the halfway line as soon as the red happened so felt like 5 minutes of Traore was needed to see if he could conjour up a goal out of nothing.

I felt the physical presence of Duran might have ruffled their feathers a bit but then again Unai is a more astute manager than I am.

He was hardly involved at all today, I've rarely seen a sub have such a minimal effect on a game.

Good point.

Not unhappy with that. If you don't win ,make sure you don't lose. A game that reminded me of the '70s encounters.
