We have to win it in my life time, because like most I have not seen us win it but old enough to know that we had won it more times than any one else for a large part of our history. Its a shame that it has now been so badly degraded.
God I love Villa winning. I wake up, the world is sunnier and more fragrant. Birds sing Mozart, pigeons talk in full sentences. Clouds take on pleasing shapes - Watkins reeling away in celebration, Kamara getting his foot in, the inviting smiles of almond-eyed houris, a single rose, a lion resting content. I go to my local cafe and get a cappuccino, grinning at the barman and saying simply 'Unai Emery', and he looks impressed.I want it every game please.
As long as Lenglet and Chambers do not play in the same back four ever again ...For me, the challenge is not team selection per se, more the approach to the game of the players selected.
this game is 100% made for your Lenglets and Chambers of this world. Olsen too and i'd play Kellyman and Duran to help with their development . I cannot see Everton busting a gut for a result here . Our main focus HAS to be Saturday 12:30 - absolutely huge game

Of course, but I know what he means - I think in the context of the season, Brighton are about as close as we have to a genuine 'peer' at the moment. One point ahead of us last season, which got them Europa league spot. I imagine that come the end of the season, there won't be much between us again, but I'd really like us to be the team one point ahead this time. Games like this will help with that. It's as much about us depriving them of points, as it is us gaining three more.
Strange comments about this game being man made for Messrs Chambers, Langlet etc. Don’t get it, we’ve won nothing since 1996 and Stevenage and Warsaw instantly spring to mind.

If we can't rely on the likes of Chambers and Lenglet for this one we might aswell pay up their contracts. Everton's first team is dire and their cup team won't be any better. I suspect Emery was far from impressed with Duran's lack of enthusiasm coming on at Chelsea so Watkins might get the nod.OlsenCash, Chambers, Torres/Carlos, LengletTielemans, DonkKellyman, RamseyBailey, Watkins/Duran
