Was that last season? If so it shows the transformation.

See Konsa was leading the end of match huddle. Looks like he’s stepping up to the Mings role.

A good instinctive finish, he's not the best when he has too much time to think, but as the ball came back to him today he had to just hit it, no time to piss about with it. Goal.

Noone is alive to remember when last we won back to back at Stamford Bridge...
Well someone might be but they to senile to remember...

1960-1961

The home game sandwiched between those wins was my first ever Villa game in August ‘60. A very young Jimmy Greaves played for them and we won 3-2. I’m still here and fighting off senility! Very pleased with our start especially as we have had 4 from 6 away

Footage of that game keeps cropping up on my Facebook page.  I was at that match and IIRC, it may have been the first game of that season.

The Gerard comment on Chelsea wiping the floor with us!

Steven Gerrard has stated that Chelsea should be competing for the biggest trophies and should be 'wiping the floor' with Villa, in a recent interview.

"Chelsea should be competing for the league, they should be competing for the Champions League, and they should be coming to Villa Park and wiping the floor with us."

And never forget, some people defended him coming out with that shit.

And since they did beat us in that game, they've won 6 of 35 league games. Beating the powerhouses of Bournemouth, Palace, Leeds, Leicester, Bournemouth (again) and Luton.

Gerrard really was a massive wanker.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to BBC Sport: "I am not frustrated, just disappointed. I think we were the better team until the red card.

"The team has given everything, we need to keep working. To play with 10 men is always difficult but the team worked hard.

"We need to change the situation, the only way I know we can change the situation is by working really hard.

"We are confident in the way we perform. The only thing we are missing is scoring. If we keep working hard we will change."

Word for Diaby who celebrates his teammates goals properly, like if he'd scored it.

It always good to see, especially from your new record signing.

And that was the last time we failed to score at home.
