I’ll believe it when I see something official. Not convinced by the plethora of Twitter announcements.

Trust Fabrizio Romano!

Trust Drummond!

On this announcement, I feel like starting do we finish in the top 5 and champions league thread!?
A few more signings, and we won't be stopped for top 2 or 3!

So exciting!

I understand the excitement but I don't think there'll be another season like last season where so many of the "top" teams struggled so badly. Arsenal (I know) and Man City were the only ones that had a consistent season. Liverpool and MUtd had big wobbles, Spurs and Chelsea had embarrassingly bad seasons. It just seems unlikely that they'll all mess up again. So I think there'll be less room for other teams this year, but then again, we were one of the best on form by the end of the season, so maybe it doesn't matter what anyone else does.
Cant see Chelsea being so inept again but Spurs I am less worried about. If we can carry on where we left off who knows?

It's true that the world cup affected the previous season.
But because of squad transitions, I don't fear Chelsea, Spurs, or Liverpool as much as I did in previous seasons.
Two of the 3 have managers changed. And Chelsea they have all sorts of issues going on sorting out players and who has been told to be played.
Man United are still highly inconsistent.
After winning the Treble and losing their captain, Man City will struggle to stay motivated again and reach their levels.

Despite having the Champions League, Newcastle and Arsenal will be strong for a title challenge.
Brighton are steadily consistency but they have European football which could impact them like we saw it did to West Ham.

Yeah, I can see Spurs having another stinker if they don't get off to a good start, they won't give him too much time to get things working.  It's the fact neither Spurs or Chelsea have Europe this season though that worries me a tiny bit. They've got nothing but the Prem to focus on for a while.

But as you say, we finished well, and we've strengthened, so anything could happen. I'd be happy with securing European football again, whether through league or Cup.

I'm not worried about either of those clubs. Chelsea are giving off the impression of a club on the way back, but is Poch all that? Spurs have a manager whose success has been in Scotland. Whoopee shit.

Anyhoo, get this deal done

I want Kane to leave Spurs so bad!
They would not recover.

It's mad he got 30 goals last season in an abysmal side. They'd probably have been relegated without him.

Diaby wears number 19. Nakamba was our number 19. How convenient.

The Athletic are reporting we are paying £35m plus add ons. So less than Newcastle are paying for Barnes.

I'm happy with this event hough I don't know if he's any good.

Tielemens, Torres and Diaby is a bit juicy.

If we get the backup keeper and another big signing, as well as keeping all our key players, it'd be a very good window I think.

When was the last time we went into a season where:

- We had a good season previously
- We had a good transfer window
- No top players left

Must be ages.
