This was always the root of my dislike for them, undeserved coverage even 40 years ago, it'll never change but it doesn't stop me fucking hating them still.

It's easier when their fans come out with stuff like this. Not that I'm concerned Emery's going anywhere.

"Think I’m on the Emery bus once Erik is dispatched (probs end of this season).
It wouldn’t be an exciting appointment but quite sensible. Plus he’s gettable."

"Potter or Emery. What have we become?"

Later on in the evening turned on the radio and listened to TALKSPORT
Just pointing out this is where your day started to go wrong.

I'm not concerned about Emery going there - he seems to be very settled at Villa and has control of everything.

There is a lot to fix at Man U too.

Bologna are quite a nice story at the moment.

Six wins in a row,  captained by former Aberdeen player Lewis Ferguson (who recently overtook Denis Law's record for most Serie A goals by a Scot) and a team padded out with loan players who can't get into the Forest and Leicester teams.

Fourth in the league ahead of much more fashionable sides, and with Italy pretty nailed on for a fifth Champions League spot they'll hopefully be joining us there.

Thiago Motta building the sort of reputation as a manager that will see Chelsea or PSG sacking him in a few years.

Ham wankers who invented student housing.

That's really made me laugh.

Where do you even start with that?

Hopefully both tell them to fuck off

I have zero concern of Emery leaving to any of the fucking gong show clubs. Man U, Chelsea fans are so deluded and entitled. Literally the one club that could pull him away is Real Madrid and even then he’s seen what it’s like at a club with massive expectations demanding an immediate return. Emery is a builder and everything he has done with us and what the owners have done for him suggest he’ll be here as long he wants and as long the results are on the correct trajectory.

Even after our goal you knew we would lose. Dominated in every aspect.

Too many players are not up to standard, hopefully ineos can overhaul football operations, get a dominant style of play with competent coaches.

We should be at 70% possession and in games like this going toe to toe, we belong at the top and have the resources to do so, pathetic by the players and club.

The media who cover football rely on readers/viewers for income. Given Man Utd have the most fans it is no surprise they get more favourable coverage in order to achieve this. Frankly the premier league make more money when the big teams do well so again does that filter through to their decisions and even referees?

It's all a bit chicken and egg for me. If they opened out their coverage and spread the focus onto other clubs they'd find those clubs would steadily start generating more and more armchair supporters.  As things stand (and by that I mean since the 1960s/70s) the media's approach simply helps maintain an unnatural pecking order.

"ManU fan in arrogant twat shocker.

And in other news, water is wet..." 😉

I was chatting to my Devon red mate yesterday while the game was going on & he was extremely chatty while they were winning.

As soon as ManC took the lead, it was instant radio silence...

I love my mate, as he mostly is a decent chap, but if you looked up 'deluded arrogant stereotypical day-tripper ManU fan from Devon' in the dictionary, it would have his face next to it.

He's sort of right though, isn't he?

What he's written basically amounts to "we're absolutely awful relative to the stupid amounts of money that we've wasted on rubbish players".

A club that's spent around a billion pounds in the last few years should be doing much better than they are. Pretty uncontroversial stuff.

Yeah that's not the most glaring example of arrogance I've ever read from one of them.

So Arsenal tonight then…

My prediction:

One each…

One for Saka
One for Odegard
One for Jorginho
One for Jesus
One for Martinelli
One for Trossard….
