I read that Santos have been relegated from the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A for the first time in their 111 years history.

Not been the best year for Santos.

Even if you ignore US politics.

What are we looking for tonight? Draws all round? West Ham and Everton wins?

Any dropped points for Newcastle and Tottenham a bonus. I feel relatively confident West Ham aren't a threat to us so a win for them would be fine.

Yeah, I think opening up a bit of a gap between 4th and 5th spots can only be good for us.

Seamie Coleman back in action for Everton tonight. Wonder how long he'll last this time.

100% this, although I'd probably feel the same even if we were languishing in mid-table.

Someone was paid actual money to come up with this

Quote
After Tottenham’s draw at Manchester City, everyone went away happy. Once again they were on the charge. I had a text off a Tottenham-supporting friend saying “City couldn’t beat our reserves”.

That kind of thing tells you the spirit the fans are in. They feel confident that the squad can go places with a manager in an attacking style.

Now they’ll be tested. I am working at the West Ham game and they’ll have to win.

They have not got results because of an incredible list of injuries and suspensions. No team can deal with that. In my view now they have to balance, set themselves away again and try to develop consistency into the New Year. If they lose one or two in December, I don’t see that as a big deal. I really believe Ange Postecoglou has credit in the bank and time.

The players clearly love it under his management. You can see it in their celebrations.

And their points tally could have been different. Against Chelsea, Cristian Romero gets sent off for a mistake. The key will be limiting those mistakes. In those moments of danger, it’s being calmer and realising you don’t have to make that desperate tackle because you’re a good team. You can trust in that fact, be a little more calm and believe you’ll get results without the desperate acts.

Where is that from so I can mark it off as a publication/site to avoid?

The BBC sadly. Their list of predictions from idiot pundits. The one from Alex Bruce is even worse.

The ref is doing a fucking awful job in the everton v newcastle game, their kicking lumps out of each other and he's got no control of it.

Spurs ahead with a pretty good goal, fine header from that dirty fecker Romero.

Apparently Spurs have a lot of injuries.

I wish the press would tell us about that, it's such a mystery.
