Explains why the match thread wasn't stickied for 30-45 mins. Might be a good luck omen.

Bournemouth won again 2-0.

Also Manure showing they can still beat teams in the lower end of the table but none above them.

I dunno, I don't follow much football outside of Villa but they're as close to the top half as they are to the relegation zone. What are their expectations this year?

They've spent a huge amount of money, doing an O'Neill, and buying a brand new goalkeeper (x2), defence, midfield and attack in the last 18 months and have just been tonked 5-0 by a terribly mediocre Fulham.

He did an astonishing job getting them promoted, and a very good job keeping them up.

But y'know. Dean Smith did those things for us. And still got potted at this stage of proceedings. And we don't really regret it.

Had a pleasant evening out at Bath City 0 - 1Yeovil Town, did I miss anything good on here?

Unlike you, everyone just enjoying the fact that City lost 1-0 tonight.

Crystal Palace seem like a team that should be doing much better with the squad they have.

Fair enough. I hadn't noticed their spending, but then I guess I wouldn't!

From the match report, sounds like the fans are with him, anyway. Which pleases me - the PL could do with more managers who are so gloriously ugly.

With hunks like Unai about, we need a counterbalance.

Deano now competing with Frank Lampard for the job at Charlotte FC, according to The Athletic.

Blimey. Knowing the 'Mericans, they'll probably go for Fat Frank. The seem to like profile over ability out there.

Think Ashley Westwood is still pointing his way around the pitch for Charlotte FC

I read that Santos have been relegated from the Campeonato Brasileiro SÚrie A for the first time in their 111 years history.

Met some Burnley fans over here in Antigua. Rate Aaron Ramsey highly (albeit unsure what his best position is yet) but absolutely loved Westwood. One of the best they've had there apparently.

He was never as bad as he gets portrayed on here, he was one of a small handful of players in that period who was actually good enough to play in the premier league and we got a brief glimpse of how it could've worked in the 2nd half of Lamberts first season.
